A young child frantically called emergency services after her mother was reportedly stabbed and beaten to death in a suspected domestic violence murder.
Emmerich Lasaker, 35, was found around 7.45pm on Monday evening with ‘serious injuries’ after police were called to her home in Kewdale, Perth.
Her partner Steve Dean, 37, was later arrested after allegedly crashing his car before stumbling into a stranger’s house and trying to self-injure.
Police are also investigating an alleged armed robbery shortly before his arrest.
No charges have been filed.

It is believed the pair shared two young girls, one of whom called emergency services on Monday after the incident
It has now emerged that one of Ms. Lasaker’s two young girls – whom she shared with Dean – called triple-0, prompting a huge response from police and paramedics, according to The Western Australian.
A neighbor said she heard police arrive at the house before a young child was escorted out of the house “crying and screaming.”
Police and St John WA provided first aid to the woman before she was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where she later died.
Homicide detectives investigate the death.
Police later arrested Dean at 8:20 p.m. in the backyard of a home more than three miles away.
Dean, who is currently under police guard in hospital, is said to have committed a shocking crime involving an armed robbery at a gas station and a serious car accident.
“Police will allege that the man crashed his vehicle – a gray crew cab Ford Ranger Raptor – on Berwick Street, near the junction with Emily Street, before fleeing to the back of a nearby residence,” a spokesman for the agency said. the Western Australia Police.
“Police are also investigating a possible link between the cases described and an armed robbery at a service station on the corner of Kent Street and Berwick Street in East Victoria Park.”
Detectives are seeking information on the man’s movements between the home in Kewdale and the St James area between 7pm and 8:20pm.

They have encouraged anyone with CCTV, dash cam or cell phone visibility of a gray crew cab Ford Ranger Raptor with black and orange sport stripes driving in those areas to contact police immediately.

On Monday, residents were horrified after a man crashed his car on their street and then reportedly entered a nearby home to grab a knife.
The accident happened around 8:30 pm, about 45 minutes after police were called to Kewdale’s home.
Startled witnesses recounted the moment the driver stumbled out of his car and entered a nearby house where he allegedly grabbed a knife and tried to self-injure.
Shane and Shaun Lowe, residents of St. James, were watching TV when the impact of the crash shook their home.
“I think he was going 90 mph, easy,” Shane said WA Today.
“There was no pause, no screeching, nothing. Just a great bang. I’ve never heard anything like it.

The pair came out to find the car had ricocheted off the tree in front of their home and crashed into a nearby post, where it was completely mutilated.
Mr Lowe said when the driver got out of the car he screamed about burning eyes and stumbled into one of his neighbours’ houses, where he reportedly grabbed a knife.
“She took him inside to the sink where he can wash his eyes…” he told The West Australian.
“He asked if she had children at home…”
Shane said she managed to get him out of the house and he ran into the neighbor’s backyard.
Douwe Goedhart, another neighbour, said he helped police arrest the man.
“He didn’t threaten anyone, but he said he wanted to harm himself,” said Mr. Goedhart.
“Two cops told him to pull over, but he didn’t, so they tasered him.”
