Kevin De Bruyne has admitted he could make a stunning move to Saudi Arabia this summer.

It now appears the Belgian playmaker is ‘open’ to a possible move to the Saudi Pro League after admitting ‘incredible money’ is a tempting factor.
In an interview with Dutch outlet HLN, De Bruyne admitted: ‘For Michele, an exotic adventure is okay. These are also conversations that we as a family are having more and more often.
‘At my age you have to be open to everything. You’re talking about incredible amounts of money in what could very well be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that for a moment.

‘If I play there for two years, I can earn an incredible amount of money. Before that I had to play football for 15 years. I may not even reach that amount yet.
‘Then you have to think about what that could mean next. But I haven’t had to think about that yet.
“My contract still runs for another year, so I have to think about what could happen. My eldest is now eight years old and knows nothing but England.
‘He also asks how long I have been playing for City. When the time comes, we will have to deal with it in a certain way.’
De Bruyne’s contract expires at the end of next season and he cannot yet give any indication of his future plans. Discussions about new terms with the Treble winners have not yet started.
Pro League sporting director Michael Emenalo attended one of City’s training sessions during the Club World Cup before Christmas as De Bruyne worked on his comeback after five months away.
Emenalo – who brought De Bruyne to Chelsea from Genk in 2012 – accepted an invitation to watch and sat next to City’s sporting director Txiki Begiristain.
The Saudi Public Investment Fund owns majority stakes in Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, with one of the quartets most likely to land the world’s biggest stars if City were to do business with them last summer Saudi. Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte opted for a move to Al-Ahli and Al Nassr respectively. The pair went for a combined sum of £54 million.
