Kevin de Bruyne and wife all smiles at Man City party after revealing ‘private’ issue to Henry

Kevin De Bruyne and his wife Michele Lacroix all smile at Manchester City’s title celebration as they pose alongside Nathan Ake and his wife Kaylee… after the Belgian revealed to Thierry Henry that he is dealing with a ‘private’ personal issue

  • City players celebrated into the early hours on Monday after retaining the title
  • De Bruyne was present at Lacroix despite his unknown personal problem
  • Henry revealed last week that the midfielder is playing a ‘private’ problem

Kevin De Bruyne and wife Michele Lacroix appeared in high spirits at Manchester City’s title celebration on Sunday, despite Thierry Henry’s claim that the midfielder is playing a ‘private’ personal issue off the field.

City were crowned Premier League champions for the fifth time in six years this weekend, with Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest on Saturday ensuring Pep Guardiola’s men retained their title.

After collecting the trophy following a 1-0 win over Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, the celebrations continued as City players and their respective partners headed to private club MNKY HSE in Manchester to party into the early hours .

While superstar striker Erling Haaland and his girlfriend Isabel Johansen grabbed most of the attention by donning matching sky blue pajamas, De Bruyne and Lacroix also rocked at the party and were all smiles as they posed alongside Nathan Ake and wife Kaylee.

In photos shared on Instagram, the two wives also shared a photo with Ines Degener Tomaz, the partner of midfielder Bernardo Silva.

City became champions of the Premier League for the fifth time in six years on Sunday

De Bruyne, who has three children with Lacroix, had a fantastic end to the season after being ousted several times by Guardiola after the World Cup break. Triple.

That’s despite the Belgian currently dealing with a private issue in his private life, which Henry shed light on after City’s Champions League semi-final victory over Madrid last week.

After seeing De Bruyne share an emotional hug with Belgium’s former assistant manager at the Etihad, Henry said on CBS Sports: “It was [a touching moment]. I can’t say because I have to keep that private.

“But from what he said to me, I have even more respect for how he played tonight and how he came and competed with his team. I can’t share what he said because I can’t share it. That’s how it is.

“But again, I’ll go back to, for me he’s the most important player.”

Mail sports understands that City want to keep the matter private and are confident that this will not affect the rest of the season.

De Bruyne has been instrumental in City’s success since joining the club in 2015. The 31-year-old has won five Premier League titles, five League Cups and one FA Cup.

Guardiola’s team will also participate in the finals of the FA Cup and the Champions League this season, where Manchester United and Inter Milan await them.

De Bruyne played a key role in City’s push for a historic Treble in the 2022/23 season

But Henry recently revealed that the Belgian star plays a personal issue off the pitch

De Bruyne, pictured with wife Lacroix, has been a key member of Pep Guardiola’s City side for the past seven years

This season, De Bruyne has made 10 goals and 28 assists in 46 appearances to boost their chances of clinching all three trophies.

The win over Madrid took City one step closer to that potential Treble, with the now England champions producing a masterclass to overthrow Carlo Ancelotti’s men in a sensational 4-0 win.

De Bruyne was cheered from the stands by his wife Michele, whom he married in 2017.

The pair have been together since 2014, with the Belgian proposing under the Eiffel Tower on a romantic trip to Paris in 2016. They are parents to sons Mason, seven, Rome, four, and daughter Suri, two.
