It comes in the midst of a rough time in his personal life as he is currently divorcing his estranged wife Christine Baumgartner.

Just a few days ago, the couple arrived separately to make statements in their pending divorce in Santa Barbara, California on Saturday.

The unbalanced duo initially tied the knot in 2004 – before filing for divorce on May 1 after 18 years of marriage.

Their divorce battle has turned far from amicable and Christine is living in a $35,000 rental in the city after being kicked out of the family’s house.

Kevin, 68, looked relaxed when he arrived at the law firm in light gray jeans, a white button-up shirt and sneakers.

The Let Him Go actor wore dark sunglasses and wore a brown jacket.

Christine brought two large bags for her meeting with the lawyers who are helping to work out the final agreement for the dissolution of her marriage.

Witnesses say the handbag designer was originally supposed to arrive later in the day, but instead arrived an hour earlier than her soon-to-be ex-husband.

The divorce proceedings between the former couple have been controversial from the start.

One of the biggest sticking points is where Christine will live.

Kevin’s attorney has argued that the prenuptial agreement signed before their September 2004 wedding required her to move out of their Montecito home.

The contract requires a $200,000 down payment for Christine’s new home and for the Dances with Wolves star to cover a year’s monthly mortgage, property taxes and insurance payments.

She initially refused to leave the Montecito mansion, but a judge ordered her to leave the residence by July 31.

The couple share three children, Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12, and child support has been a major source of contention for the duo.

Christine initially asked for nearly $250,000 a month for child support, while The Highwayman star responded with an offer of $51,940 a month.

A judge ordered the star to pay $129,000 a month.

Child support hearings are scheduled for August 31 and September 9.

Costner has four older children: Annie, 39, Lily, 37, and Joe, 35, from his marriage to Cindy Silva. He has a son, Liam, 27, from his relationship with heiress Bridget Rooney.
