Kevin Clifton shares rare birthday snap of Stacey Dooley and baby Minnie 

Kevin Clifton has shared a sweet snap of Stacey Dooley and her baby daughter Minnie as the TV presenter celebrated her 36th birthday.

Stacey looked casual and comfortable in a caramel hoodie, mom jeans and sneakers in the snap posted Thursday morning.

Her auburn hair was pulled back while her bangs framed her face as she held her daughter, who was facing away from the camera, in her arms.

Baby Minnie, who was born in January, had adorable little booties on her feet, matching the tangerine bag Stacey slung over her shoulder.

‘Enjoy today, you deserve it all. I love you so much, Kev and Minnie.

She followed up the sweet message with a heart, balloon, and mouse emoji for Minnie.

Kevin, 40, was absent for Stacey’s birthday due to a busy schedule for Strictly Ballroom – The Musical, but still managed to arrange surprises for his partner even in his absence.

Stacey posted a story with a card from her daughter that read “Mommy” from her daughter Minnie.

“BEST EVSSSSSSS birthday card,” he wrote, along with a series of crying emojis and mouse emojis, a reference to his daughter Minnie and Minnie Mouse.

Kevin also arranged a brilliant set of custom balloons that read ‘STACEY’ in all capital letters as a thoughtful gesture in his absence.

“Not with my @keviclifton today… but he knows I LOVE balloons for any occasion,” Stacey wrote on Instagram.

Thoughtful: Kevin had still prepared surprises for Stacey even while on tour with Strictly

Stacey and Kevin announced the news of their pregnancy in August by sharing a snap of the documentarian cradling her belly with Instagram followers.

She wrote at the time: ‘Gaaaaaaang… We’re having a baby! So fucking delighted. Kev, you are magical, I love you.

‘(It was getting impossible to hide and if one more person asks me if I’ve had boobs done in LA, I’m going to scream.) Here you gossssss.

Clifton also shared the same photo, writing: ‘We’re having a baby! And I think my girl @staceydooley looks beautiful pregnant.’

Dooley appeared on The One Show just a few days later, where she admitted to being excited at the prospect of becoming a mother for the first time.

“I’m delighted, I can’t believe it,” she told host Ronan Kemp after he congratulated her.

On Valentine’s Day, Stacey gave fans their first look at Minnie, apparently having a change of heart about protecting her baby from being online.

She shared a sweet video of Clifton cradling her newborn daughter.

The professional dancer seemed overwhelmed with emotion as he held Minnie in both hands, with his back strategically facing Dooley’s camera as he tried to make her laugh.

Captioning the post, she wrote: ‘My Valentine. The loves of my life. I don’t know what I did to get SO lucky. To the best father and man in the world… happy Vally darling. PS… you’re in the evenings when you get home from tour.

The couple met on the sixteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, which they won.

The award-winning documentarian confirmed their romance in April 2019 when it finally went Instagram official after weeks of speculation and four months after winning the show.

Kevin was previously married to professional Strictly dancer Karen Hauer, whom he separated from after three years of marriage and a year before he met Stacey.

Before Karen, Kevin married Clare Craze in 2007 after meeting two years earlier at a salsa bar. They separated in 2010.

Stacey, who received an MBE in 2018 for streaming services, makes documentaries for BBC Three on social issues, including child labor in developing countries.

In 2018 she also published a book, Stacey Dooley: On The Front Line With The Women Who Fight Back, which became a bestseller.
