Kevin Bacon and his daughter Sosie Bacon star in a new commercial for Hyundai’s new all-electric IONIQ 6.

It begins with the Footloose star pulling up to a suburban house, just as Sosie walks out the front door to join him.

‘There is. My dad went electric,” says Sosie near the top of the ad.

“It’s electric, don’t be surprised,” Kevin quickly replies from behind his daughter as he stands in a driveway.

In the commercial, Sosie, who was wearing green overalls with a blue jean jacket, jokes that her dad isn’t a techie.

“The guy who’s forever locked out of his email is going EV,” he announces with a tone of sarcasm.

“Oooh, nice car,” Sosie says moments after the couple get into the car, with Kevin sitting in the driver’s seat.

‘I get it. you don’t think they charge fast enough or go far enough,” Sosie says before her father takes her turn to end those debates.

‘Load percentage updated in 18 minutes. Range, heck, we could go to Mexico,’ he announces.

The father-daughter duo then heads to a coffee shop, where Sosie reveals, “EVs aren’t going to start being a thing.” Look at the IONIQ 6.’
