Kesha removes Diddy’s name from the lyrics of her hit song TiK ToK after he was accused of rape by ex Cassie
Kesha deleted Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ name from the lyrics of her hit, after he was accused of rape by ex-girlfriend Cassie in a tense lawsuit.
The 36-year-old singer deleted a Diddy, 54, reference from the 2009 song “TiK ToK” during a show on Friday in Oakland and Saturday at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
Kesha – who is currently on her Only Love Tour – originally opened the song with the lyrics: “Wake up in the morning feelin’ like P. Diddy.”
But during her recent performances, she changed it to: ‘Wake up in the morning’ and feel just like me.”
Kesha previously performed the song in Denver a few days prior to Cassie’s trial, with the lyrics still intact.

Kesha seems to stand in solidarity with Cassie, after she filed a lawsuit against record producer Dr. in 2014. Luke.
She alleged that he drugged and raped her in 2005 and emotionally abused her for years.
He in turn accused her of defaming him, saying she had made up her claims in an attempt to get out of her recording contract, and that a trial would take place in New York this summer.
But in a joint statement in June 2023, it was announced that the pair had reached a resolution in the case.
“Only God knows what happened that night, like I’ve always said,” Kesha said.
‘I can’t tell you everything that happened. I look forward to closing the door on this chapter of my life and starting a new one.
“I wish nothing but peace for all parties involved.”
Meanwhile, Diddy was spotted for the first time since settling his lawsuit with Cassie on Saturday.
The New York-born rapper held his head in his hands as he broke cover outside his mansion in Star Island, Miami, Florida.

Allegations: On Thursday, Diddy was accused of rape and repeated physical abuse by Cassie. The lawsuit alleged that he controlled and abused Cassie for more than a decade, plying her with drugs, beating her and forcing her to have sex with multiple male prostitutes.
He was seen next to a woman – believed to be his old chief of staff Kristina Khorram – as she comforted him as they both sat on a couch in relaxed attire.
R&B singer Cassie filed a federal lawsuit against Diddy on Thursday, making the explosive rape allegations against the hip-hop legend.
But on Friday, they both released statements announcing they had reached an agreement. No specific details about the terms of the settlement were disclosed.
“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably, under terms over which I have some control,” Cassie said.
“I would like to thank my family, fans and advocates for their continued support.”
Diddy said: “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.’
Diddy’s attorney also emphasized that the settlement meant his client was not admitting wrongdoing.

The couple, who met in 2005 when she was 19, split in 2018. The lawsuit alleged that before the end of their relationship, he forced his way into her home and raped her.

Diddy vehemently denied all the “offensive and outrageous allegations.”
Cassie said in a legal document filed in Manhattan Federal District Court: “After years in silence and darkness.
“I am finally ready to tell my story, and to stand up on my own behalf and on behalf of other women who experience violence and abuse in their relationships.”
Her attorney Douglas Wigdor claimed that Diddy offered her “eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit,” but that she refused to “give a voice to all the women who are suffering in silence.”
On Friday evening, following the pair’s settlement, Wigdor added: “I am very proud of Ms. Ventura for having the strength to make her lawsuit public. She should be commended for that.”
