During an interview with Rolling stone earlier this month, Kesha opened up about the LP, saying, “I feel like I’m commanding the most intimate thing I’ve ever made.”

“I’ve really delved into some of my uglier emotions and sides of myself that are less fun. It’s scary to be vulnerable.’

She went on to tell the outlet, “The fact that I’ve put together a whole record of these emotions, of anger, insecurity, fear, sadness, pain, regret, it’s all so unnerving — but it’s also so healing.”

While talking to Dazed Prior to the album’s release, Kesha discussed the expectation of “perfection” as a result of being in the limelight and how more “open” played a role on the LP.

“Perfection is a condition perpetuated by social media,” she explained, admitting. .’

“It’s all a very toxic illusion, especially for women in pop music. It’s not fair to the people behind the music, but it’s also not fair to the culture and to young women.’

The Take It Off singer added: “I’ve been absolutely guilty of only wanting to share pictures of me looking hot as f**k. But that’s why it was very important that this album was relentlessly open and vulnerable with all these very imperfect sides of myself.’

Kesha, who revealed she was secretly engaged in the past, is involved in an ongoing lawsuit with record producer Dr. Luke over allegations that he abused her both sexually and emotionally.

“With this album I have to get really, really intimate and expose the sides of myself that I’m not most proud of,” Kesha revealed to The protector this month.

“The ones I never want to talk about, the ones I never want to share with the general public. The ones that are scarier, more vulnerable, and more insecure. I share a lot of ugly emotions on this album,” she continued.

Before her fifth studio album became available to anticipated fans, Kesha released three singles from the LP, including Eat The Acid, Fine Line, and Only Love Can Save Us Now, which she called a “desperate and angry prayer.”
