Kerwin Rae’s mum breaks her silence with a heartbreaking plea to Aussies about the cause of motivational speaker son’s tragic death aged 50

The heartbroken mother of Australian motivational speaker Kerwin Rae has broken her silence on his tragic death to address rumors about the circumstances leading to his death.

In a statement released on social media over the weekend, Rae’s family announced that the bodybuilder and business coach had died last Friday and described their “unimaginable sense of loss.”

Mr Rae, from Byron Bay in northern NSW, toured Australia and amassed millions of followers on social media by offering advice on success, goals, relationships and communication.

No cause of death has been revealed, but a staff member said Mr Rae had previously suffered from mental health and kidney problems.

In a tearful interview, Rae’s devastated mother Elizabeth told Daily Mail Australia she hopes fans keep him in their thoughts and don’t believe everything they read.

“People are speculating online but that’s none of their business, let him rest in peace,” she said.

‘People release things for their own ego and I find it completely disgusting that their self-esteem is so low!’

She also paid a moving tribute to her son and reflected on the heartwarming Mother’s Day tribute he wrote for her in the years before he died.

“I have received so many tributes from all over the world telling me how many thousands of lives he has changed,” she said.

‘He was kind, generous and left me a proud mother.

“He was true to himself and fought to the end.”

Through tears, Ms Rae reflected on the heartfelt tribute he paid her on social media in 2021, thanking her for all the good she had done for him throughout his life.

“That’s just the type of person he was; he recognized not only me, but all mothers,” she said.

In a statement announcing his death, Rae’s family said: “Kerwin was a force of nature, there are countless stories to tell and so many words that could describe the epic human being he was, but at this time we are too overwhelmed to express them to press.

“To all who had the privilege of knowing him – whether as a friend, partner, mentor or family member – please keep this extraordinary soul in your thoughts and hearts.”

He is survived by sons Noah, 10, and Jonah, 2.

Mr. Rae’s website said he had “helped more than 100,000 companies, in 154 different industries, across 11 countries around the world, with his revolutionary, no-bulls** approach to business growth and personal transformation.”

The website stated that Mr Rae had failed almost every subject at school and had not read a book from cover to cover until he was 23.

Mr. Rae battled addiction and had six near-death experiences, including a stroke that nearly took his life.

As a teenager he took up martial arts and became a bodybuilder, which led to work in the security industry.

He provided armed escorts and personal protection for Bon Jovi, U2 and Madonna when they toured Australia.

He then started working in nightclubs and tragically became addicted to speed.

In his 20s and early 30s, Mr Rae founded many business ventures before launching his business consultancy in 2009, based on education, training and support.
