Kerry Washington talks to Tyler Perry as he appears on her book tour in Atlanta…while promoting new memoir

Kerry Washington shared a video taken during her ongoing promotional tour for her memoir, Thicker Than Water, on Instagram on Saturday.

In the clip, the 46-year-old actress was joined by Tyler Perry as they entered a backstage area after a public performance.

The actress – who recently opened up about her past celebrity crushes – looked stunning in a tan leather dress as she celebrated the end of another successful round of promotions.

Washington also donned a fashionable pair of high-heeled shoes as she posed for the camera.

The Primetime Emmy Award-winning artist’s gorgeous brunette hair fell to her shoulders and matched the lighter shade of her clothing.

Perry, 54, opted for a white shirt worn under an olive green button-up shirt as he spent time with the actress.

The producer, who moderated Washington’s promotional appearance, completed his look with figure-hugging pants and tan shoes.

Thicker Than Water was released to the public earlier this week, and the actress enthusiastically promoted her book on Instagram ahead of its release.

The performer’s memoir covers numerous topics, including her coping with the discovery that her father, Earl Washington, was not her biological parent.

The Django Unchained actress also talked about having an abortion in her early 20s, her history with activism and her treatment for a past eating disorder, among other things.

Washington spoke about working on her memoir in an interview with Vanity fairin which she remembered that while writing her book, she had to allow herself to reveal the deeper parts of her personality to the public.

‘If people don’t like the movie, I think, “Oh, yeah, talk to the director.” It is far more fragile than any other creative endeavor I have ever undertaken,” she said.

The Scandal star then stated that she was extremely grateful for her parents’ support in writing her memoir.

“I had played the supporting character in their story for forty years and I was now ready to ask them to be supporting characters in my story. What I’m fortunate enough to have is that I have wonderful parents who agreed to do that,” she said.

Washington kicked off her book tour last Saturday with a performance in The Bronx.

The performer will also speak about her new publication in Los Angeles on Sunday before heading to Britain for dates in London and Manchester.

The actress’s latest promotional stop for her book will take place on November 12 in Miami.
