Scandal star Kerry Washington looked stunning Tuesday morning in a peach-colored ankle-length skirt with a sheer white bustier across the bust.

The Ray star, 45, completed the stylish number with white pumps and wore her hair in a bun with a pair of tendrils around her face and gold earrings.

The Emmy-winning actress was on Good morning America where she talked about her new movie The School for Good and Evil in which she stars with Charlize Theron, 47.

The mother of three discussed her family’s company on set during the making of the film, as it was shot in the UK during the pandemic when schools were closed.

She has children Isabelle and Caleb with husband Nnamdi Asomugha, 41.

“We shot the film in Belfast and it was in a pandemic so the whole family went and my kids were there and they had a great time,” she said.

“They thought Charlize was way cooler than me. They liked her costume better, you know the mean kids are, they always look cooler,” said the Django Unchained actress.

She added: “It was great, it was really great to have them there. It was great for me to do something for them to watch as well.

“You know they aren’t, they don’t watch Little Fires… they haven’t watched Scandal, maybe one day, maybe one day.”

Discussing her close working relationship with Charlize, who played the dean of the school for evil, she said, “We met immediately and bonded.”

“I think we had that working mom vibe, you know, we really understood that challenge and she’s so funny and so talented, and I feel like we really helped each other take more risks, and more into the characters.” to be. Kerry described the racy series as “another show my kids don’t watch because that’s real grown-up fare.”

About her role as a director, she said: “The actors in this show, the company of actors are spectacular and to be able to direct and produce actors at that level is a real pleasure and an honor.”

After seven runs with Scandal, Washington knows what it’s like to star on a hit series with a grueling work schedule and mentors her young star of the series, Emayatzy Corinealdi.

“Emayatzy is extremely talented and the most important thing I told her was to make sure you were taking your vitamins,” she said.

“I did, I said, yes, because being number one on a call-up list is that it’s really athletic. You work 16 hours, you work with all kinds of different emotions,” she added.

“The days are long, you’re on your feet, your brain is working, your body is working,” I said, “you need to get enough sleep, and that’s going to be hard. Make sure you’re hydrated, get your vitamins, you have to handle these jobs like an athlete.”

Racy New Series: Kerry described her new adult series as “another show my kids don’t watch because that’s real adult fare.”

Commenting on her role as director, Kerry said: “Even when I’m acting, I get the most pleasure seeing the actor opposite me doing their best work.

“So to be in a position where you can really encourage people to move towards excellence.

“Knowing when you can give someone a little hint or clue that brings out the best in them, when they can surprise themselves with how good they are, that makes me so happy as a director and as a producer.”
