Kerry Katona, 43, reveals she DOES want a sixth child after previously admitting she had given her fiance Ryan Mahoney, 35, a free pass to have a baby with someone else

Kerry Katona has changed her mind and wants a sixth child after all.

The 43-year-old TV star is a mother of five, but has no biological children with her fiancé Ryan Mahoney, 35.

She has daughters Molly, 22, and Lilly, 20 with her ex-husband Brian McFadden to whom she was married from 2002 to 2006.

She is also the mother of Heidi, 17, and Max, 15, with ex-husband Mark Croft and the eight-year-old DJ from her relationship with the late George Kay.

After a recent scan at the hospital, Kerry said doctors had told her she could still carry a child, prompting conversations with Ryan about trying to conceive.

The Atomic Kitten star was hospitalized after a cancer scare and explained in her book OK! Magazine column: ‘When I had a scan last week and the answer was ‘clear’, I was told that I still have follicles. That means I can still have a child.’

“I don’t think I’d want another one, but Ryan keeps changing his mind! If he wants another one, that’s fine, but we have to move on quickly.”

She added that she did not want to carry another child herself and would consider surrogacy because her youngest daughter DJ had caused “trauma” for her eldest children.

In February, Kerry announced that her dream of having a baby was over, admitting she had given Ryan “a free pass” to have a child with another woman.

Kerry explained: ‘I don’t want to rob him, I gave him a free pass and said, ‘If you’re going to go through with this, leave me now!’

“I never want anyone to feel like they don’t have a child of their own. But I think I should be enough for a man.”

Last week, Kerry admitted that she hasn’t seen her eldest daughter Molly in a whole year.

Molly now lives in Ireland, her father’s home country, but she will soon see her mother again on a trip back to the UK.

In her latest article she writes OK! columnKerry said: ‘Lilly and Molly are both coming back from Ireland for a visit this week and I can’t wait to see them again.

‘I haven’t seen Molly for nearly a year! We call every day but she just hasn’t been home to visit for a while. Lilly is doing well too, she’s all settled in and has a good job in Ireland, I’m proud of her.

“It’s nice to see my children blossom. I’ve fulfilled my parenting role and now it’s their turn to live their lives.”

Kerry and Clancy Abbey were both in tears after the Atomic Kitten star recently opened up about her tragic childhood and why she got her daughters’ names tattooed on her wrists.

The star was overcome with emotion as she admitted her biggest fear is that her children will feel “unloved” because that’s how she felt growing up.

Kerry’s mother Sue was manic-depressive and spoke to Abbey on her podcast Exhibition AShe confessed that her earliest memory is seeing her mother slit her wrists when she was only three years old.

She confessed: ‘I think the biggest problem for me was always feeling like I wasn’t good enough. You know, when you see your mother trying to commit suicide and you think ‘am I not good enough, do you want to be here?’

‘So I was already pretty confused before I became famous.’

She shared her biggest fear, continuing, “I remember being in rehab and I couldn’t believe that I had let myself down so much. I kept wondering if this was in my DNA and if it was genetic. I didn’t want my children to feel unloved and unwanted, because that’s how I felt.

I thought if this is [self-harming] something I might do anyway, so I got Molly and Lily tattooed on my wrist because I felt like it would be selfish to do that to my kids.

‘No matter what happens in my life, I want my children to know that I love them very much and that I will never leave them.’
