Kerry’s world was shattered when her two-year-old son was murdered by her ex. Then tragedy struck again
A Perth man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter over the death of a mother who had already lost her son to murder.
Police had alleged that Jahleel Delaine Ahirau Berryman was the driver of a BMW that ran a red light and collided with a Mitsubishi Magna in April last year.
Kerry Bodney, 31, was a passenger in the BMW and suffered serious injuries in the crash.
She was rushed to hospital, but could not be saved.

Two other passengers in the BMW were also injured.
Police said Mr. Berryman fled the scene but was later arrested and taken to hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
He was charged with manslaughter, failing to stop and obtain assistance after an incident resulting in death, and failing to report an incident resulting in death or grievous bodily harm.
Mr Berryman faced Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on Wednesday where he pleaded guilty to manslaughter. He will face a sentencing hearing in the WA Supreme Court in July.
He has yet to enter pleas on the other charges.
Ms Bodney was the mother of a two-year-old toddler who was murdered by her former partner Wayne Narkle in 2012.

Mrs Bodney’s family and friends paid tribute to her after the fatal crash.
She was remembered as a beautiful soul, who inspired strength and resilience, and was taken too soon.
