Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila team is accused of causing damage to a beloved AC/DC mural at a local bar in Indio, California.
The model, 28, and her team promoted the alcohol brand during the first week of the Coachella music festival.
They placed a large sign in the shape of an 818 emblem at Club 5 Bar, where they had a pop-up event last week to plug the tequila line.
However, one of the owners, Randy Franco, now claims that Jenner’s team vandalized the AC/DC mural beneath the sign, causing it to be scuffed and chipped. TMZ.
Meanwhile, sources close to Kendall told DailyMail.com that Randy and his mother, Carmen Franco, were aware that the mural could be damaged or even destroyed and signed a contract agreeing to it.

One of the owners of Club 5 Bar claims that Jenner’s 28-year-old team ruined their AC/DC mural (pictured) by sticking an 818 decal directly onto it at a pop-up event last week, causing it to was cracked and chipped
They also claim that Franco and his family were aware of the condition of the place after the event and did not raise any issues at the time.
Although the 818 decal looks like it is painted over the wall, it is actually a separate piece attached to it.
Randy issued a press release on Monday accusing Kendall’s company of leaving the recently installed AC/DC mural battered and chipped and making no attempt to restore it.
He claimed that he and his partners had given 818 permission to use the wall and hang the 818 sign, but asked them to put a protective layer underneath so as not to damage the mural underneath.
He claims the team didn’t do that and instead stuck the sign to the mural with glue, causing cracks and chips in the paint when removed.
It’s unclear what Randy plans to do about the situation, as so far he has only contacted the event coordinator to express his frustration with the mural.
Meanwhile, according to an email viewed by TMZ, Randy’s mother, Carmen, walked through the property and even pointed out the mural, saying it was in good condition when Kendall’s team left.
Jenner — who recently promoted the brand while cooking pasta for Valentine’s Day with her sister Kylie — launched her tequila brand, 818, in February 2021.

On Friday night, the supermodel was spotted walking the grounds on the first day of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival’s celebrity-packed weekend.
She dressed up in a gray zip-up hoodie and a brown leather jacket, opting for a low profile with a blue baseball cap and her hood pulled over her head.
She also wore black straight-leg jeans and shiny patent leather boots.
None of her famous relatives appeared to have been with her on the first day of the festival.
This year, the 818 Tequila founder also brought her drinks brand for an “outpost” — photos of which she shared on her Instagram Story — where she provided drinks and merchandise for partygoers.
The entrepreneur talked about her brand during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Australia and shared what drew her to the tequila business.
“I grew up in California and my family was always interested in tequila. “I was fascinated by the history of tequila sipping and the production that went into it,” she said.

Jenner then stated that she planned to start a spirits brand that would appeal to a younger audience.
“I wanted to create something that resonated differently, with a high level of quality that appealed to a new generation of tequila consumers,” she said.
The model also indicated that she intended 818 Tequila to set a new standard for women-owned beverage companies.
“I felt like the market was historically male-dominated. If you look at labels and marketing campaigns from other brands in recent years, there are many similarities. “I wanted to create something that could appeal to everyone,” she said.
