Kendall Jenner unrecognisable in unearthed teen video, say shocked fans – cosmetic surgery experts think they know what the Kardashians star has done to her face

Reality TV star and supermodel Kendall Jenner undoubtedly has one of the world’s most famous faces.

But fans were shocked this week when images of the Kardashians alum from early 2010 resurfaced – claiming she was almost unrecognizable.

In the videoviewed over 2.2 million times on TikTok, Jenner, now 29, is seen with significantly slimmer lips and a differently shaped nose.

On social media, some joked that she must have had “a face transplant,” while others suggested, “Kendall doesn’t even know who Kendall is.”

The clip also sparked new speculation that the Victoria’s Secret regular had undergone numerous cosmetic surgeries to alter her appearance.

Kendall has strongly denied going under the knife.

But doctors have weighed in, suggesting the model’s transformation is likely the result of some facial treatments.

Dr. Houtan Chaboki, a Washington plastic surgeon, said he suspects Kendall has “altered” her nose and lips.

In one TikTok videoCommenting on images of Jenner, she said: ‘The nose looks thinner at the bridge and tip. Some cartilage has probably been removed and the bone has been modified.

“Her lips are a little fuller and plumper,” he added. ‘This can usually be done with fillers.

‘Some patients also receive fat injections there or do a lip flip with Botox. It is unlikely that she had surgery on the upper eyelid; this usually happens in older patients.

“Maybe she’s had Botox and fillers elsewhere.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Saul Lahijani, a plastic surgeon at the Beverly Hills Institute of Plastic Surgery told his 15,000 TikTok followers: ‘Look at her eyes and her forehead.

‘Her eyebrows are higher, her eyes are more open. She had a little fox eye done, maybe with a brow lift.

‘Look at her nose in front of it and the tip, how round it is. It’s sharper now. She must have had a nose job.”

He said: ‘As for the bottom of the face, it is now more angulated.

‘She probably had fillers done here in combination with the removal of buccal fat. Overall, she is one of the most natural-looking Kardashians. She looks great.’

A fox eye facelift is a non-surgical procedure in which dissolvable threads are inserted beneath the surface of the skin and pulled tight to straighten the corner of the upper eyelids.

A rhinoplasty, also called rhinoplasty, involves surgery that is performed either from the nostrils (a closed rhinoplasty) or by making a small incision in the nose.

By breaking and repositioning the nasal bone, a surgeon can also reduce the width of the nose and achieve a narrower appearance.

In 2023, Dr. Andrew Peredo, who specializes in aesthetic facial treatments, also told MailOnline that he suspected Kendall had had a nose job and lip filler.

He said: “The only thing I can really say that stands out to me is her nose.

It looks a little more refined, I would say, so I think she had a nose job for that.

‘The top part of her nose looks like it’s a little straighter and a little thinner and the top also looks like it’s a little thinner in the 2023 photo compared to the 2009 one.

“She also looks like she’s lost some baby weight along the jawline, but it’s hard to tell if that’s natural or if she’s had a little help.”

Like her older sister Kim, Kendall’s eyes and eyebrows have more of an upward slope, Dr. Peredo noted.

This, he said, suggested she may have gone under the knife.

In September, photos of Kendall with puffy cheeks published during Bottega Veneta Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025 sparked concern among fans who said she looked much older than her age.

In a TikTok seen 2.5 million times, one user said: ‘This doesn’t look like a 28 year old [her age at the time] woman for me more and she didn’t need any of this.

‘The problem is that we know that the filler migrates. So it won’t go away like they always told us. It goes to different places and it distorts people’s faces.’

Fillers – usually injections of collagen or hyaluronic acid – are offered in beauty clinics for as little as £75.

Although it is claimed to last around 18 months, MRI scans have shown that fillers can migrate and remain in areas of the face years after they have dissolved.

Dermatologists have also previously warned that too much facial filler in younger people can ‘often look unnatural’.

A surgeon who spoke to MailOnline has warned of the increase in the number of younger women needing facelift surgery because their appearance has been ‘ruined’ by years of filler injections.

Dr. Julian De Silva, a specialist in facial plastic surgery, said: ‘More and more women are coming to me about facial aging in their 30s. Often it is because they have had fillers.

‘Filler can build up; it does not always dissolve completely naturally and it can be very difficult to remove.

‘A patient I hadn’t seen in five years came back for facelift surgery and I almost didn’t recognize her because so much volume had been added to her cheeks, lips, chin and jawline.

“She had it added every six months and it just piled up.

‘We have solved as much as possible. But patients often need surgery because their skin stretches.’

Responding to speculation in 2017 that she had undergone cosmetic work, Kendall said: ‘As a model, why would I have my face reconstructed?

‘It doesn’t even make sense. It’s crazy because sometimes I feel like people just want me to lose.”

In June 2021, Kendall also told Bravo host Andy Cohen that her family did not maintain unrealistic beauty standards.

She said: ‘We all really enjoy taking care of ourselves and being healthy.

“So I think all we’re really trying to represent is you being the healthiest version of yourself.”
