Kelsea Ballerini and boyfriend Chase Stokes share passionate moment in her romantic First Rodeo music video

Kelsea Ballerini made a special guest appearance in her romantic new music video for the latest song, First Rodeo, which she premiered on Wednesday.

The country pop star, 31, enlisted the help of her boyfriend Chase Stokes, 31, to play her romantic interest in the clip.

The pair – who started dating in early 2023 – were seen in a number of fleeting moments in the video. At one point, the songbird was seen running on the beach into the arms of her shirtless lover.

At another point, they are seen holding hands together in bed, although the Outer Banks star’s face is just out of frame.

First Rodeo is a release from her upcoming album Patterns, due out on October 25.

The video opens with Ballerini — who filed for divorce from her ex-husband Morgan Evans in August 2022 after nearly five years of marriage — lying in the sand on the beach, wearing a pale pink dress.

“I love the feeling of running with the wind/ That’s why I went and did what I did/ He and I both had our guns to swing/ Damn, that confrontation was embarrassing,” she sings in the first verse.

Later, Kelsea meets her other half on the beach, singing the chorus, “I rode into the sunset / The red dust hadn’t kicked up yet / Thought I knew all the ropes / Thought I could ride like a pro.”

“Never knew I’d have a round two/ I fell off, baby, but I found you/ Take my heart, but take it easy/ ‘Cause this ain’t my first rodeo.”

Throughout the video, there are shots of Kelsea and Chase holding hands and him giving her a kiss on the forehead, as well as the blonde beauty riding a carousel and later a boat.

‘Let them run, baby, don’t hold your horses / Love is the wild, wild west, I don’t need to be told / But when you put your arms around me, I don’t mind / You make me forget the last time,” she sings.

The romantic track continues with Kelsea saying that no matter what the future holds, it’s worth taking the risk.

‘Even though we never know/ Whether we’ll make it out alive/ But when it comes to me and you, I can’t not try/ Ain’t it crazy, baby, that I’d never know you/ If I am never rode off into the sunset.”

Throughout the video, there are shots of Kelsea and the Outer Banks star holding hands and him giving her a kiss on the forehead, as well as the beauty riding a carousel and later on a boat.

The clip featured stunning footage of the beach

At one point, Ballerini sings on a beach while sitting on a pile of luggage. Later, she arrives at a hotel room, where she sips a martini glass and watches a rodeo on a big screen.

The singer promoted the new clip on her Instagram, writing, “The first rodeo is all about embracing vulnerability, hope and getting back on the horse. the video is out now, featuring the handsome human who inspired the song and made me love sunsets again.”

On another post, she shared some photos from the video, including one of her and Chase holding hands, as well as some behind-the-scenes footage, writing, “The first rodeo is now out of video today at 4ct.” FAVORITE LYRIC….GO!’

She also shared a clip of her and her friends dancing to the song on a boat. The star then posted a note with handwritten lyrics from the song.

Ballerini said in a statement that it is normal to feel emotionally drained and insecure about love and relationships after a public breakup. People.

The singer started dating the actor in early 2023 after she entered his DMs and “the swan dove right in.”
