A teenage boy has had his spleen removed and is in critical condition in an induced coma after a shocking stabbing.
The 16-year-old was allegedly attacked at around 3pm on Friday on Ravenscroft Way, just off Regina Drive in Kelmscott in Perth’s south-eastern suburbs.
The teenager was injured after a fight broke out between six youths, some of whom were carrying knives.
“A 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the stomach during the altercation and remains in an induced coma at Royal Perth Hospital,” a police spokesman said. The West.
“His spleen has been removed and he needs another surgery. He remains in critical but stable condition in hospital.”
The boy was transported to Royal Perth Hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
Western Australia Police have released images of two youths they want to speak to about the incident, and a major investigation into the incident is underway.
