Kelly Ripa reacts to daughter Lola Consuelos sharing topless bikini photo on Instagram

Kelly Ripa responded to her daughter Lola Consuelos’ topless bikini photo on Thursday.

The 53-year-old talk show host shared her thoughts in a comment under an Instagram post she and Mark Consuelos’ 23-year-old daughter made poolside on a sunny day.

In the cover photo of her carousel, Lola was stripped down and seen sunbathing on a beach towel, without bikini bottoms.

“Is this demure?” the singer, who shared rare photos with her British boyfriend Cassius Kidston on his birthday last month, captioned her post, referencing the recent viral trend on social media.

Ripa played into the same trend, saying, “It’s very deliberate.”

The musician had her dark locks pulled back and tied under a colorful headscarf.

She also wore dark sunglasses and statement earrings for her day outside on a luxurious daybed.

In the second photo, Lola is in the same position, but this time she shows off her olive green bikini.

In addition to Lola, Ripa and Consuelos also have sons Michael, 27, and Joaquin, 21.

The couple, who have been married for nearly three decades since tying the knot in 1996, recently spoke candidly about their parenting style when it comes to their children’s relationships.

On the June 6 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the couple revealed that they don’t want to interfere with their children’s love lives.

“Now, listen to this,” Ripa told her husband and co-host. “The Indian Matchmaking show brought it to the forefront by showing people what arranged marriages are all about. So, the national divorce rate is about 50 percent. The divorce rate in arranged marriages is four percent. So parents know what they’re talking about.”

Then Consuelos asked her, “Would we do that for our children too?”

Ripa responded, “I think we would handpick the kids that our kids are with, we would handpick those kids. If I could handpick them… but I don’t want to say that.”

She added that it’s hard to say what’s best for them, regardless of whether they like the person their child is dating or not.

“You don’t want to say too much, because you know how it goes. So you have to act differently.”

Consuelos agreed, adding, “If you have comments, you take them to that person.”

The couple then agreed that the best thing they could do was “not say anything” about their children’s love lives.

“Yeah, if you don’t like someone your kid’s with and you let them know, they’re going to interfere,” Ripa said.

‘But if you like them too much, then you think, “Hmm… Why does my mother like them?” So then we just don’t say anything.’
