Kelly Ripa, 52, wishes her son Michael Consuelos a happy 26th birthday

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have had a lot to celebrate lately.

They co-host Live with Kelly and Mark, their daughter Lola graduated from NYU a few weeks ago, and their oldest son, Michael, is celebrating his 26th birthday.

The mum-of-three, 52, took to Instagram on Friday to share birthday wishes for her firstborn with a slideshow of snaps from over the years.

She captioned the post: “He rocked our world 26 years ago and has been rocking it ever since! Happy birthday @michaelconsuelos we love you.’

And like a good son, the birthday boy responded to the post: “Thanks for life, mom!”

The first photo in the montage shows Michael as a baby being held by his mother while they are in a swimming pool.

The post contained all of his baby and childhood photos and none of him as an adult.

Kelly and Mark are also the parents of Lola, 22, and Joaquin, 20.

The All My Children alum has gushed over all of her kids, but especially her oldest over the years.

He graduated from NYU in 2020 and his mother lamented the fact that he was not given the full trappings of a college degree due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“He’s one of those very unique, special kids, he’s just been nice all his life and he’s such a good person, a hard worker, I wanted a big event to celebrate him,” she said in an episode from Live with Kelly and Ryan.

And he said, in typical Michael fashion, “Well, it doesn’t matter.” As long as I get my degree, it’s fine.”

“He has the strongest moral compass of anyone I’ve ever known,” Ripa said People in 2019. “He’s just such a good and decent and thoroughly nice person.”

And Michael is following in his parents’ footsteps by entering the entertainment industry. He even starred with his father Mark on Riverdale, playing a younger version of his father’s character, Hiram Lodge.

“Working on Riverdale was a bucket list moment for me,” Michael shared People.

“I was immediately made to feel welcome by the wonderful cast and crew and am grateful for this wonderful opportunity to continue learning and growing as an actor.”

He continued, “Acting in front of my dad was such a surreal experience, but we both had the BEST time and I really enjoyed walking around in Hiram’s shoes.”
