Kelly Clarkson’s daughter River Rose, 8, steals the show in new remix of Favorite Kind of High

Kelly Clarkson’s daughter River Rose, eight, has a cameo in the lyric video for the David Guetta remix of the Because of You singer’s latest hit – Favorite kind of high.

River took over Guetta’s turntable and rocked out to her mother’s song while wearing headphones.

The song and technicolor video is the American Idol winner’s third single after Mine and Me from her upcoming 10th studio album, Chemistry.

The Stronger singer, 41, wrote most of the new songs during her divorce from Brandon Blackstock, 46, after seven years of marriage. The couple also share son, Remington, seven.

The Since U Been Gone singer – who opened up about River being bullied at school – sat down for an interview with Nancy O’Dell on TalkShopLive to talk about her album and say, ‘Having chemistry with someone is an incredible and overwhelming feeling. It’s like you have no choice in this.’

“You’re just attracted to each other. This can be good and bad. This album will take you down every path chemistry could lead you,” she added.

The Breakaway hitmaker revealed that she had never experienced such breathtaking chemistry until she met her music manager ex-husband.

“I never had any real contact before my ex-husband. And I’ve never interacted with anyone like that,” she said.

‘I had never felt that before. That kind of chemical… that level of just chemical reaction, I just never felt that and I just remembered the first time we met, I was like ‘Woah.’ I just felt something.’

But not all chemistry is good, the Grammy winner experienced that during her divorce.

‘And then things can go very badly, chemistry. You can have great chemistry with someone you really shouldn’t be with, you know. Not that one person is good or bad, whatever. It’s just not a healthy environment.’

“I just feel like chemistry is a beautiful and amazing thing, but it’s powerful for good and bad. Let you do stupid things.’

Clarkson filed for divorce in 2020 after seven years of marriage. It took two years to finalize.

And she admitted that writing this album was emotional.

‘I wasn’t thinking at all. I was just crying, like so many others. That’s really what happened,” she told O’Dell.

“It’s a big decision, isn’t it?” she said about the decision to divorce.

“Ending a relationship, you know, it’s been years. You have children. It’s so involved.

“There are so many layers to it. So I do not know. I don’t think I really thought. Until then. I just wrote a lot of music about two and a half to three years ago,” she explained.
