Kelly Clarkson said goodbye to 2023 with a monumental occasion, when the star helped marry a couple during her show in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve.
The Because Of You singer, 41 – who recently showed off her weight loss – was in the middle of a concert for her residency called Chemistry: An Intimate Night With Kelly Clarkson when she crossed paths with two fans in the audience.
In a video uploaded to YouTubethe star was seen chatting to the duo who revealed their wedding was planned that night – and on her show.
“Oh, is it tonight? With me?' Clarkson could have asked this excitedly, just as an official headed toward the Grammy winner and the couple.
One of the men explained into a microphone held in Kelly's direction that both he and his partner have been together for almost fifteen years.

The crowd could be heard cheering and clapping from their seats upon hearing the news of the impromptu wedding.
Kelly then handed the microphone to the man who had also joined them and he promptly began leading the quick ceremony.
The Breakaway singer could be seen putting her arm around one of the men and putting a cheerful smile on her face.
Near the end, the official said, “By the power of Kelly Clarkson's show, Las Vegas New Year 2024, I pronounce you husband and wife!”
She was then seen giving the official a warm hug and taking time for a selfie with the newlyweds.
Kelly got the microphone back and shouted to one of their mothers who was also in the audience, “Where's your mommy?”
A woman just a few feet away leaned over to take Clarkson's hand, and the singer humorously asked, “What did your baby just do?”
As she walked back to the stage, the star reflected on the special moment that had just taken place and exclaimed, “You guys, that was so amazing!”

In March 2023, Clarkson announced her 10-night Las Vegas residency at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood, which took place from July to August 2023.
However, the singer added more dates to the residency, which kicked off last month in December and will end in February 2024.
During the quick wedding ceremony at her New Year's Eve concert, Kelly seemed in good spirits as she moved on from her split from talent manager Brandon Blackstock.
The couple first started dating in 2012 and got engaged later that same year. In 2013, the former couple married in a romantic ceremony in Tennessee.
Throughout their marriage, Blackstock was her manager and they also welcomed two children: daughter River, nine, and son Remington, seven.
However, in June 2020, Clarkson filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences,” and the divorce was officially finalized in March 2022.
Notably, late last year in 2023, Kelly received approximately $2.6 million from her ex due to Brandon unlawfully making deals when he was her manager.
While it appears on Angie Martinez's IRL podcast Last March, the singer opened up about the divorce.

“I think the hardest thing about divorce, especially when it's publicized and people think they know everything, is that it wasn't an overnight decision.”
She also spoke candidly about the impact of the divorce on her children, saying: 'I literally ask my children every night when we're snuggled up in bed: 'Are you happy? And if you're not, what could make you happier? ?”'
“Often they'll say, 'You know, I'm just really sad. I wish Mom and Dad were in the same house.' They are very honest about it. I understand. I also come from a divorced family. It sucks.'
And during an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show in October 2022, she spoke about moving on after divorce.
'It is difficult. I think sometimes it's the most ridiculous thing when something doesn't work out and you're in a relationship and so in love – and people are like, “Oh yeah, why can't you do that?” [move on].”'
“I think I will always love that person, I don't know if it will go away,” the star also added.
Her latest album, Chemistry, was released in June 2023 and received a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album.
During a recent interview with Todayshe talked about the album, saying it's “super personal.”
“I mean, I've always written from a very personal, raw place… I think all progress is as good as people, you mature, and your sound is different and what you have to say is different. It has a different gravity.'

'It's a difficult record. It was hard to make,” she went on to say, but added, “I didn't want it to be a divorce album. I wanted it to be a relationship album.'
Kelly later explained, “For the most part, it's sad, but you know, that's how I work through what's going on with me, through writing.”
Clarkson has achieved several milestones, from receiving a Grammy nomination for her latest album to participating in her Las Vegas residency.
Last December, the star also won two Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show Host.
