Compare that to Gayle’s original lyric: “Fuck you, your mother, your sister, your job, your broken-down car, and that shit you call art.”

The couple were reportedly forced to part ways after significantly clashing while in lockdown in the early days of the still-raging coronavirus pandemic.

Clarkson was originally ordered to pay her estranged husband $200,000 per month in support.

Then, she had another setback in September 2020, when Starstruck Management Group, the company run by Narvel Blackstock, Brandon’s father, sued her for $1.4 million in allegedly unpaid compensation.

But the Since U Been Gone singer countersued two months later, accusing the company of violating the California Labor Code.

“I literally ask my kids every night when we’re snuggling up, ‘Are you happy? And if you’re not, what could make you happier?'” she revealed.

She continued: “Sometimes they’ll say, especially in the last two years, and it kills me and I want them to be honest, so I never say, ‘Oh God, don’t tell me that,’ but a lot of times it would be like, ‘You know, I’m very sad. I wish mom and dad were in the same house.”

She added that she was trying to raise her children to always be honest, both with her and with others.

She noted that it’s not hard for her to understand how they feel about the split, since she too is “from a divorced family.”
