Kelly Brook reveals feeling more body confident in her 40s led to more sex and husband Jeremy Parisi loves her ‘big bum and boobs’: ‘I don’t want to be a size zero Love Island girl, I’m a wholesome pin-up model!’

Kelly Brook has revealed she feels more confident than ever and it has led to more sex with husband Jeremy Parisi.

The 44-year-old model has been a SlimFast ambassador for many years, but revealed that she is not actively trying to lose weight, just maintaining the figure she has.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline ahead of the launch of her new weight and wellbeing podcast Life Gains, the former girl explained: ‘I don’t want to be a size zero.

‘I don’t want to set unattainable goals for myself. It’s just about being the best version of myself right now.”

Kelly continues to celebrate her figure with her annual sassy calendars and revealed the reason why she thinks they’re still flying off the shelves 23 years after her first shoot is because: ‘I’m not a Love Island star!’

Looking back on her 1990s modeling career, she reflected, “I was often called curvy when I was just a very typical, normal-looking woman. I was a lot lighter than I am now!' (pictured in 2000)

She clarified: ‘I don’t want to be a threat! I want to be a healthy pin-up girl. IIt’s women who buy my calendar, not men!’

One man who gets a calendar every year, however, is of course husband Jeremy, 38, who helps Kelly on her health and fitness journey, but not with the goal of seeing her lose weight.

She explained: ‘Jeremy is Italian so he likes big butts and boobs – so I don’t have to worry about that!

“You just have to realize that no one really cares what you look like except yourself.” You should what you feel good about, because if so trying to look a certain way to please someone else is a never ending battle.

‘I’m happy and confident and I don’t think my husband notices my weight when it fluctuates… feeling good can only lead to more sex!’

Jeremy has joined Kelly on her SlimFast journey, with the pair both drinking shakes – Kelly as a meal replacement and Jeremy for extra protein – and he also makes sure there’s a healthy but hearty dinner on the table when she gets home from hosting the Heart Radio drivetime show.

She explained: ‘I come home to a nice cooked meal. He is very sweet, he always lights a candle and sets the table.

“He’s Italian-French, so it’s all about sitting and eating together so we do that and a lot of walking.

‘We try to stay fit and healthy together. We have a dog, so we go for two hour walks on the weekends and stuff like that, which we like to do.

“It’s definitely our lifestyle, we’d rather walk the dog than watch a movie at home.”

The former girl explained: 'I don't want to be a size zero. 'I don't want to set unattainable goals for myself. What matters is that I am now the best version of myself.”

Reflecting on the differences between her figure now and in her 20s, and public perception of weight, Kelly mused: ‘I was often called curvy in my modeling days, when I was just a very typical, normal-looking woman. I was a lot lighter than I am now!

‘I was a pioneer of ‘curvy’ modeling at the time because it was all about that skinny, waifish look at the time, but I was working with lingerie brands that celebrated curves.

‘The men’s magazine market also celebrated curves, so men were in favor of girls who looked like me, while the women’s magazines weren’t so much.

“I think we’ve come so far and we’re embracing so many different shapes and sizes now.”

Revealing how the public mood has turned around, she continued: ‘I get trolled for posting about SlimFast because people say, “Why are you doing that? You don’t have to do that!”

‘And I have to explain that for me it is not about losing weight, but about persevering.’

But it’s impossible to please everyone, and Kelly explained that she is now being trolled because of her appearance.

She reasoned, “I think it’s a shock to people if they still see me in their minds as that nineties model.

“Now, as a 44-year-old married woman working on a radio show, they’re just two completely different women. You can’t even compare.

‘I don’t want to go backwards, I just want to go forward. I feel really comfortable with who I am and how I look.

‘I’m so happy that I no longer have those physical fears.

‘So when people see me and think, “Oh my God, she’s unrecognizable,” they just have to wrap their heads around it.

‘It has nothing to do with me, it’s all on them. I’m not worried because I’m sure if I looked at a photo of them from about 25 years ago they would look different too!

Kelly explained, “It was just great to have someone like Narstie, who is completely different from me, but we’re on a similar journey of talking things through.

‘We all have our own life gains and our own life goals and here’s how you can tailor SlimFast for you to achieve your goal. It doesn’t mean you have to be a certain size, it’s about what works for you.

‘I look at Narstie and see how he has gone from having a breakdown to putting on a huge amount of weight and now being able to play with his children. He now has a gym, he’s changed his life and I think it’s really inspiring.”

Kelly concluded, “It is not the destination, it’s a journey and Ultimately you know where you’re going, so just keep going.’

Kelly Brook and Big Narstie’s new wellness podcast is all about changing from a ‘can’t’ to a ‘can do’ attitude, fueling SlimFast’s 23 vitamins and minerals and 14 grams of protein to achieve personal goals.
