Keller Fornes is dead at 32: Actor was best known for starring on Great American Family’s Country Rescue
The acting world is in mourning again, now that Keller Fornes has passed away at the age of just 32.
The actor is best known for his role as Griffin in the Great American Family TV series Country Rescue.
An obituary from Lacy Funeral Home shows that the actor died on December 19 in Upland, Texas, although no cause of death was given.
The verified Great American Family Instagram and X pages paid tribute to the beloved actor on Monday.
“We at Great American Media are deeply saddened by the passing of Keller Fornes,” the statement began.
“He was a special person and talent as an actor, writer and director, but also as a singer and musician,” the statement continued.

“His energy and enthusiasm have energized everything he has worked with here at Great American Media and the cast and crew of County Rescue,” the network added.
“Our prayers are with his family and everyone he touched,” the statement concluded.
The actor was born on April 22, 1992, in Lubbock, Texas, to Kimberly Lynn Turney-Fornes and Kobe Scott Fornes.
As a child, he studied Scripture with the Kerrville Methodist Church youth group and Young Life Mentors.
He grew up as a performer and artist and graduated from the University of North Texas, where he also honed artistic crafts such as painting, drawing and playing guitar.
After graduating, he moved to Atlanta to pursue a film career, where he worked as a waiter and personal trainer while auditioning and taking acting classes.
He also took up boxing while in Atlanta, competing in the coveted Golden Gloves tournament and winning a gold medal for Georgia in his division.
Fornes wrote and directed a number of short films, along with the 2019 documentary The Buddy I Never Met.

He also played a Tower Trooper in a 2022 episode of AMC’s The Walking Dead and a role in Ava DuVernay’s 2023 film Origin starring Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and Jon Bernthal.
His most recent roles included an episode of the TV series Found and the film Somnium, plus the upcoming film Hellbilly Hollow.
