Keke Palmer announced that she gave birth to her first child, a son named Leodis Andrellton Jackson, with boyfriend Darius Jackson, via Instagram on Monday.
Sharing her first look as a mother from her hospital bed while cradling her little one, the 29-year-old actress appeared serene as her man gazed lovingly at her baby.
“I’m not hiding the world from my son, I’m hiding my son from the world,” she joked in the caption.
The announcement comes a month after she accidentally revealed the gender of her baby on Wednesday night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
While chatting with the late-night host, 48, during a conversation about what zodiac sign her little one will be, the Nope star let it slip that she was expecting a child.

“So my baby is going to be either a Pisces or an Aries,” she gushed. Pisces are known to be very deep. They are emotional creatures. So, I just want to make sure that I’m not being too direct with my baby.
He went on to admit that “sometimes” it can be a “little bit too much tell it like it is” and he might have to learn to “wade in the water with a Pisces” and “keep it cool.”
Before her interview, fans speculated that Palmer was having a girl after she tweeted that she “kills her” “when men are disappointed in having a girl.”
He went on to call the girls ‘a blessing’.
The artist first confirmed that she was pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend, Darius Jackson, while hosting Saturday Night Live last month in December.
She announced her pregnancy while delivering her opening monologue by opening her jacket to ‘clear the air’, while giving viewers a glimpse of her tummy before expressing: ‘I’m going to be a mom!’
Keke is expecting baby number one with her boyfriend Darius Daulton, who she has been in a relationship with since 2021. The two lovebirds went public with their romance on Instagram in August 2021.
Shortly after the announcement aired live on SNL, Darius confirmed that he was the father by uploading an adorable snap of Keke cradling her tummy with the simple caption, ‘2023’ and a red heart emoji.

The singer, who received rave reviews for her breakout performance as an 11-year-old spelling prodigy in Akeelah and the Bee (2006), admitted that being a household name presented challenges during a new interview with THR.
Recalling her decision to accept a week-long Nickelodeon cruise for her entire family in 2009 in exchange for a few hours signing autographs, the singer said the stress of her trip caused her to pass out “with anxiety.”

Still, Palmer acknowledged that she understands that the “child star story,” in which the price of fame causes a great deal of trouble for talented young actors like Britney Spears, Amanda Bynes and Lindsay Lohan, has been “hit in the head’.
Still, she notes, “For people who think a normal childhood is overrated, nothing is overrated if you didn’t have it.”
