‘Wanting to play an instrument, wanting to sing and play for other people… thanks, thanks to the school [for all they do] and the students [of Urbenville Public School] for having such a passion for music.’

Clearly excited after the video call, the students jokingly decided to rename their school ‘Keith Urbenville’ and change their logo to a photo of the popular singer.

Urbenville Public School music students captivated the hearts of the world with their kindness, performing weekly outside the local nursing home.

Social media and media coverage included an invitation for Urban to visit the school for his Christmas concert, but filming commitments in Sydney meant he had no choice but to surprise students virtually.

Surprise! During the nearly six minute talk, Keith inspired the students as he discussed music, performance, and answered various questions from the students.
