A major underworld figure was shot dead outside a shopping village on Saturday morning.
Melbourne crime figure Gavin ‘Capable’ Preston was killed in a drive-by shooting near a cafe in Keilor Village in the city’s northwest.
It is believed that Preston was shot ten times while ehaving a meal with a close family member of crime figure Nabil Maghnie, according to the Herald Sun.

The other man was also injured in the shooting.
Victoria Police have closed the Old Calder Highway at both ends of the shopping precinct.
Residents have been urged to avoid the area of heavy traffic congestion as access to the park outside has been closed.
Victorian Police Chief Constable Shane Patton said the man in his 50s had been shot dead, while the other man was reportedly shot in the stomach.
An underworld source told the newspaper Sunday age“they put a clip in him.”
The alleged gunmen are believed to have fled in a car.
Detectives from the homicide unit, police and emergency services are on site.

Police and underworld figures have been on alert since Preston’s release.
The 50-year-old crime figure was suspected of being involved in the death of former motorcyclist Toby Mitchell and allegedly plotted to kill Mick Gatto.
