Keeper Security passphrase generator feature is now available on mobile devices

Keeper, maker of one of the best password managers, has announced that its passphrase generator is now available as part of the Keeper Security suite on Android devices.

If you use the same password for every account, there is a high chance that your accounts will be hacked and your data stolen. That is why it is advisable to use a passphrase or password generator for every account.

By generating a random combination of words and symbols of any length you desire, you can create a login credential that is more secure and complex than a standard password.

Passphrases are released as part of the Keeper password manager and can be stored in a secure vault. They are generated using a random combination of 7,776 words, as recommended by the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Craig Lurey, CTO and co-founder of Keeper Security, said: “We’re excited to bring the passphrase experience to mobile users, starting with Android. This feature gives our users the ability to generate highly secure credentials directly on their devices, making it easier to protect their accounts while streamlining the login process.”

Keeper has also expanded its offering for Android users with an extended logout timer that can be set from one minute to two weeks. This allows users to set a session time that is convenient for them and fits their company’s security posture.

The passphrase generator is available now for Android devices, with existing users receiving the update automatically via the Google Play Store. The Keeper passphrase generator for iOS devices is expected to be released in the coming weeks.

Earlier this year, Keeper also expanded support for passcodes to mobile devices, allowing users to generate and store passcodes on the go.
