Reeves was not home when several masked men forced their way into his home, stole a firearm and fled the scene before police arrived.
At about 7 p.m., there was an anonymous tip about a possible intruder at Reeves' home — previously targeted in 2014 — that prompted the LAPD to respond, resulting in an investigation, the outlet reported.
Despite a thorough search by officers, no traces of offenders were found.
However, around 1 a.m. the police received a report of an activated alarm in the building. This time, security cameras captured individuals wearing ski masks breaking through a window and entering the home.
According to the news source, the robbers stole one firearm before speeding away.
Investigators are currently reviewing images of both Reeves' home and the surrounding neighborhood, looking for additional clues.
A source told the newspaper that police are “specifically investigating whether the initial call to police was made by someone who investigated the house.”
Reeves has experienced similar cases before, including two consecutive burglaries in 2014, including one instance where he came face to face with a female intruder who broke into his home in the middle of the night. according to the Toronto Sun.
When confronted by the star, the women told him she had come to meet him. After responding calmly to the situation, he called police and officers took her into custody for a psychiatric evaluation.

Three days later, in 2014, Reeves contacted police when he found a naked woman in his pool. He later obtained a restraining order to keep her away from him and his property.
More recently, a judge granted the A-list celebrity a restraining order earlier this year against an alleged stalker who he was accused of accessing his property.
According to legal documents, Reeves' attorney submitted security photos from the home to the court showing 38-year-old Bryan Keith Dixon in his yard.
He said security told him this happened three times in November 2022 and then again in January 2023 – a total of six times. ABC7 Chicago reported.
In one case, Reeves claims that Dixon slept in the backyard of his home, and in another, he left behind a backpack containing a DNA testing kit.
