Kate Beckinsale revealed how her “Absolute Legend” castmates Robert Sean Leonard and Keanu Reeves chivalrously came to her rescue when she suffered a clothing defect at the world premiere of Much Ado About Nothing at the 46th Cannes Film Festival in 1993.

“When I got in the car to drive with Denzel and Pauletta Washington to the premiere, all the poppers in the crotch popped open and flipped up like a roller blind,” says Kate — who has 5.5 million Instagram followers — recalled on Monday.
“I didn’t think it was appropriate to all dig into my undercarriage in the back of the car, so I quietly panicked. Walked out on the biggest red carpet of my life and whispered to Keanu and Robert Sean Leonard what happened.
“In this photo, I’m holding the front gusset down and the two of them holding the back gusset. Absolute legends who may not even fully understand the physics of what happened or even heard the word ‘gusset’ before, but both jumped in not to ask me any questions.”
