Keanu Reeves gets bombarded by fans while out promoting out John Wick: Chapter 4 in NYC

Keanu Reeves has been promoting the fourth installment of the John Wick film franchise.

And on Thursday, the longtime leading man found himself making a few stops while out and about in New York City.

On at least one occasion, Reeves was bombarded by a string of eager fans seeking a look and photo of the actor as he toured downtown Manhattan on Thursday.

Despite all the commotion, the Canadian star seemed to take it all in stride, all while flashing her infectious smile.

Still in promotion of John Wick: Chapter 4, which is scheduled to make its wide theatrical release in the US, the film franchise has been wildly successful with fans, raking in more money at the box office with each release since which the original was released in 2014.

Frenzy: Once back on the streets of Midtown Manhattan, Reeves found himself surrounded by fans snapping photos and looking to get memorabilia signed.

With the help of a pair of security workers in the lead, the actor was seen getting out of his truck and then onto the bustling streets, where fans quickly surrounded him with cameras pointed his way.

Many of the people also sought to have memorabilia signed by reaching out arms outstretched with a magic pen or marker in hand, prior to their appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Reeves, who was born in Beirut, Lebanon and raised in Toronto, Canada, looked dressed for success in a classic black suit with a gray dress shirt, dark gray tie and brown boots.

She also had dark hair that fell long and straight to her shoulders with a parting down the middle.

After entering a building in midtown Manhattan, Reeves returned with at least one item in his arms, with security workers following close behind, just as a precaution.

In recent days, Reeves has also attended a screening of John Wick 4 in New York, made several promotional appearances such as Good Morning America, went to another premiere and Q&A panel at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, and has given interviews to various publications such as People and The Hollywood Reporter.

In the franchise, Reeves plays the lead role of John Wick (2014), a retired hit man who has built a legendary reputation in the criminal underworld for his skill set in the first installment.

Directed by Chad Stahelski from a script by Derek Kolstad, the original release also starred Michael Nyqvist, Alfie Allen, Adrianne Palicki, Bridget Moynahan, Dean Winters, Ian McShane, John Leguizamo, and Willem Dafoe.

Stahelski and Kolstad teamed up once again for the sequel that followed some three years later with Moynahan, Leguizamo and McShane reprising their roles, along with new cast members Common, Laurence Fishburne, Ruby Rose, Lance Reddick, Peter Stormare and Franco Nero. .

John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) ended up doing better at the box office, grossing $171.5 million on a budget of around $40 million.

Stahelski returned to the director’s chair for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019), only this time he worked from a script by Kolstad, Shay Hatten, Chris Collins, and Marc Abrams.

The original John Wick became a worldwide box office success, grossing $86 million on a budget of between $20 million and $30 million.
