Keanu Reeves fans were left furious after watching a very awkward interview with the Matrix actor on the BBC The one show this week.
The 60-year-old star was asked by host Alex Jones if it was fun seeing his Speed co-star Sandra Bullock again at a recent reunion. Reeves affectionately said that it certainly was.
But then another host, Gabby Logan, pushed even harder when she asked if Keanu wished they had started a romance after the 1994 film came out.
The dark-haired actor, who is dating 51-year-old artist Alexandra Grant, seemed a little put off but managed to give an answer that wouldn’t offend his friend Bullock and his current love.
His fans were not happy with what they considered “unprofessional” questioning.

The John Wick actor sat down to discuss his new films Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Ballerina.
Jones, one of the show’s regular hosts, brought up Reeves’ ’90s hit, Speed.
Alex then asked if he would like to see his co-star Sandra at the action film’s 30th anniversary celebration.
Reeves responded, “That was so much fun. Yeah, Sandra Bullock and I get along really well and it’s always fun to see her, so it was nice to hang out for a bit.”
That’s when Logan pushed his way inside.
She asked, “Didn’t you find out later that you two could have gotten along even better… you both had a little crush on each other on set, but you only found out later that you liked each other… ‘
At that moment, the action star looked up and said: ‘Ohhh yes! We were very professional.’
Jones tried to lighten the mood by saying, “That would have been a nice couple!”
Logan added: “There was great chemistry on screen anyway; it was fantastic.’

However, the atmosphere on set was awkward as Keanu appeared to cower and the conversation became stilted.
Fans took to social media to say the interrogation was “ridiculous” and “unfair.” Many said it wasn’t nice to bash Reeves like that on a live TV show.
And others pointed out that Reeves “cringed deeply.”
One person said on the BBC’s Instagram page: ‘Embarrassing questions, a lovely man and a great actor .’
For years, Keanu and Sandra were romantically linked, but they were just rumors as Sandra said they had never been in a relationship.
In the past, Keanu has called her ‘a great person and a great actress.’

This comes after film director Steve Asbell revealed that a third Speed film is not out of the question.
Fans of the 1994 action film have been patiently waiting for a new entry in the series after the disappointing 1997 sequel Speed 2: Cruise Control, and now 20th Century Studios bosses have insisted a third film is possible, but only when they find an idea that ‘excites’ the two actors.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Asbell said of Speed, “It’s one of the last films we didn’t reshoot. And to really be a reason to come back, it has to be a great idea and an idea that is exciting [Reeves and Bullock].
‘Because that would be the reason to see it. It’s obviously a very important title to us, but it’s not something we take lightly or just try to adopt. They should be part of the development of that idea.”
At a recent 30th anniversary screening of the film, Bullock suggested that Hollywood “wasn’t brave enough” to make a third entry into the series.
However, Asbell insisted that 20th Century was certainly willing to give it a try, adding that the studio was “on the phone” waiting for ideas for the potential blockbuster.

He said: ‘Hollywood is brave enough. We are brave enough. We’re on the phone.’
Bullock had reasoned that the industry would not be ‘willing’ to accept director Jan de Bont’s bombastic ideas for a third film, because it would ‘require a lot from everyone’.
She explained, “All these things happened because of the crazy man [de Bont] in the greenish jacket there. He’s so gentle and kind today and I think, ‘That’s not the man I remember.’ But he’s the guy who put the energy and the idea together, knew what the audience wanted and demanded it from everyone, and everyone did their best to play it.
“So what would be that movie that would make Jan’s brain and genius happy? It would take a lot from everyone.
“I don’t know if we’re in an industry anymore that is willing to tolerate this and has the courage to do it.”
