Ke Huy Quan holds his Oscar close as he addresses Jimmy Kimmel Live… a day after the comeback kid won Best Supporting Actor

Ke Huy Quan was seen outside of Jimmy Kimmel Live! studio in Hollywood on Monday afternoon.

The 51-year-old entertainer blew a kiss to several of his fans who had gathered to watch him prepare to appear on the long-running late-night talk show.

The performer, who recently spoke of having high hopes for his future after winning an Oscar, brought his statuette with him to the show.

Quan kept it casual in a dark blue long-sleeved shirt that he teamed with jet black pants and matching shoes during his time on the show.

The Goonies cast member took home the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor on Sunday night.

Other actors who had been nominated for the award included Brendan Gleeson, Brian Tyree Henry and Judd Hirsch.

The performer was recognized for his work on Everything Everywhere All At Once, which was released earlier in 2022.

The action-comedy film also received Best Picture honors, with Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis and directors The Daniels being named Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress and Best Director, respectively.

The Danielses also took home Best Original Screenplay, while Paul Rogers won Best Film Editing.

The film crew received a total of 11 awards, including Best Original Score and Best Costume Design.

Quan received a lot of attention for his energetic appearance at the Academy Awards, during which he spoke through Vulture about her unlikely path to Hollywood.

‘My journey began on a ship. I spent a year in a refugee camp. And somehow, I ended up here on the biggest stage in Hollywood,” he stated.

The Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom actor also commented that he was particularly overwhelmed after receiving the award.

‘Dreams are something you have to believe in. I almost gave up on mine. To all of you, please keep your dreams alive,’ he said.

Quan went on to express his gratitude to the entertainment industry in general “for welcoming me back”.
