A Kansas City Royals minor leaguer has been hit with federal charges after allegedly assaulting multiple passengers during a 10-hour Delta Airlines flight.

Darnel Silver Collins, an outfielder, began causing trouble within an hour of a 10-hour flight from Amsterdam to Salt Lake City on January 21, according to legal documents filed on January 22.

Documents revealed that Collins physically eavesdropped on several passengers, followed them, spit on them and “physically intimidated” a flight attendant.

The crew was also forced to move others sitting near the professional due to his behavior.

DailyMail.com confirmed that Collins is a professional baseball player, a team spokesperson said they hope he “gets the care he needs.”

According to the legal complaint, Collins began becoming “loud and disruptive” within the first hour of the flight as he began continuously tapping passengers without their consent.

The minor league player’s behavior then “escalated” during the flight when he began following passengers throughout the plane, a Federal Joint Terrorism Task Force officer reported.

A flight attendant decided to intervene and pushed Collins away to protect a female passenger who he allegedly kept touching and following.

According to the documents, his behavior quickly became aggressive when he allegedly grabbed a female passenger as she left the restroom.

Crew members and other passengers had to intervene so he would release the woman he forcibly snatched, the documents show.

As his behavior continued, “approximately eight passengers had to be moved from the area around him to ‘avoid further problems,'” the complaint said.

He then got down on his knees and spoke so aggressively to the passengers that ‘Flight Attendant 1’ intervened because they thought it was going to get physical.
