- The autographed jersey was auctioned by the Guelph Wish Fund, a Canadian non-profit organization
- A photo of Kelce and another photo of the ultra-famous couple were also included
- The jersey was sold exactly one week after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory — and just days after a fatal shooting during a victory parade left one dead
A Kansas City Chiefs jersey signed by Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift has sold at auction for more than $15,000, with proceeds going to children with debilitating diseases.
The Guelph Wish Fund, an Ontario, Canada-based non-profit organization, auctioned off the autographed jersey, along with a photo of the star tight end and another photo of the power couple.
The organization raises money for children under the age of 19 who are struggling with “a serious illness, life-altering injuries or a rare and debilitating syndrome,” according to its website.
By the time the bidding closed on Sunday, twenty-five birds had been placed. The sweater fetched a whopping $21,000 CAD, approximately $15,574 USD, and came with a certificate of authenticity.
The sellout occurred exactly one week after the Chiefs Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Kansas City cruised to victory in overtime with a final score of 25-22, with Kelce and teammate Patrick Mahomes dominating much of the conversation.
Swift attended with an equally famous entourage of actresses and musicians.
In a moment shared thousands of times by fans on social media, the singer-songwriter ran onto the field to meet Kelce in a kiss after the big win.
‘I have never been so proud in my life. I can not believe you. How did you do that?’ Swift asked after the pair hugged.
“How come you’re not jet lagged right now?” Kelce responded.
The pair were later spotted partying at a nightclub with Swift’s parents in tow.
The pop star posted a video of their night out on social media, flying past her parents as they sat in bottle service as hip-hop music blared.
“It’s a friends and family event, they said,” Swift wrote. “Take your parents with you, they said.”
Her athlete boyfriend also came into view and stuck his tongue out.
The sale came just days after gunfire erupted during the victory parade in Kansas City, injuring more than 20 and killing a mother of two.
The joy was short-lived, however, as a victory parade in Kansas City turned deadly. Gunshots rang out on the afternoon of February 14 as an estimated 1 million people entered the city.
Two juveniles whose names are being withheld by authorities have been charged in connection with the shooting.
More than 20 people were injured while Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a mother of two and disc jockey for a community radio station, was killed.
Swift contributed $100,000 to a GoFundMe campaign organized by the woman’s family.
The donation came with a note: “My deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss.”
Kelce was criticized for meeting teammates for dinner just hours after the violence broke out.
On Friday evening, the athlete’s charity, the Eighty-Seven & Running Foundation, made two $50,000 donations to Erika Reyes’ children.
Reyes, a cousin of Lopez-Galvan, created a GoFundMe page after her two daughters were each shot in the leg.
