The family of a man seriously injured in a collision have made an emotional appeal for the driver to come forward and help provide answers.
Kaz O’Maye, 30, was found unconscious on the side of Bringelly Road in Rossmore, south-west Sydney, shortly after midnight on January 22.
He was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition after being hit by a car while crossing the road.

Mr O’Maye’s family pleaded on Friday for the person responsible to close the case, less than two weeks after the father-of-three was left for dead.
“We have to make a decision today that we really don’t want to make,” said his father, Paul O’Maye.
“He has three young children who need answers about what happened to their father. He has a fiancé who needs answers.”
‘Whoever did this will have to live with it for the rest of their lives.
Mr O’Maye remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
Police are still searching for two cars seen in the area at the time of the incident, having previously released CCTV footage of a silver SUV and a dark-coloured four-wheel drive car.
O’Maye’s sister, Shae’lee Stevens, said the family wanted to know what happened in the 30-year-old’s final moments before the collision.
“So we can give these answers to people who ask us for his children so that we can give them the best memory possible,” Mrs. Stevens said, choking back tears.
Crash Investigative Unit Commander Jason Hogan said police wanted to speak to the drivers of the two vehicles to help the family obtain information.
