Katy Perry’s fans joke she’s suffered a glitch after her eye gets stuck during Vegas show

She is normally the constant professional, impressing fans with her impressive moves and stunning vocals.

But Katy Perry fans were quick to joke that the usually well-oiled machine had “malfunctioned” Monday night after her eyelid seemed to get stuck during her residency in Las Vegas.

In footage uploaded to TikTokthe singer, 38, struggled to open one of her eyes in the middle of the show, with many users joking that she was suffering from a “mechanical failure.”

Dressed in her tin-inspired silver leotard, Katy was in the middle of her Vegas show when one of her lids appeared to be stuck, causing the star to struggle to open her right eye.

The Roar hitmaker briefly paused her performance to finally open her right eye again, then resumed her show.

The moment, captured by an audience member who then uploaded it to social media, sparked a flurry of comments from fans who joked that Katy had suffered a technical glitch.

However, a rational user was quick to suggest that it could have been caused by Katy’s false eyelashes sticking to the bottom of her eye.

Jokingly noted, “Clone failed. Next time make sure all software is up to date and apply the necessary patches.’

Another added: “She was downloading the song,” while a third posted: “The robot malfunctioned.”

One fan commented: “Mechanical fault, she even pushes that button to keep it open.”

But then one of Katy’s followers was quick to clarify, “Lol, it’s her lash glue sticking to her lower lid, that happens to me all the time.”

Katy began her Play residency in Las Vegas in December 2021 and quickly received critical acclaim for the “highly camp” show in which she emerges from a giant toilet and talks through a talking mask.

It comes after the hitmaker, who shares daughter Daisy Dove, two, with fiancé Orlando Bloom, recently joked that she is often mistaken for herself when she takes mom and baby classes with her daughter.
