Katy Perry is temporarily replaced by ‘big time’ guest judge on American Idol
According to Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will be temporarily replaced by “big” American Idol guest judges.
The 46-year-old country singer, who also serves as a judge on the long-running program, previously spoke to Entertainment tonight during the Stagecoach Festival on Saturday to promote the guest artists’ upcoming performance.
The California Gurls singer, who recently sparked controversy for “mom-shaming” an American Idol contestant, and Richie will perform at The Coronation Concert of King Charles III.
When Bryan was asked to give fans some information about the guest judges, the singer kept tight-lipped.
The singer-songwriter stated, “It’s amazing. It’s a big time, but I can’t tease.’

However, the television personality said that the influence of the guest judges was felt by several participants in the program.
He stated, “The people we filled in, contestants have used their songs many, many times. Much more than mine!’
When Bryan was asked for more information, he joked, “I’m lucky enough to continue to be a part of this show, you’re not letting me kick off.”
Perry and Richie were reportedly added to The Coronation Concert lineup earlier this month.
Artists such as Andrea Bocelli and Take That will also perform at the event.
Thousands of guests are expected to attend King Charles’ coronation, including First Lady Jill Biden, who will serve as a representative of the United States.
The Dark Horse singer, 38, previously spoke with Entertainment tonight about her performance at The Coronation Concert and joked that a “hologram” had been developed to fill in for her on American Idol.
The hitmaker went on to talk about her connection to King Charles, with whom she has worked on various charitable endeavours.

The Coronation Concert is currently taking place on May 7.
