Sara chose to walk away from the competition to “be with her babies” on Sunday’s Hollywood Weekly episode, leaving judges and show producers in shock.

She had sung her first song, The Police hit Roxanne, before telling judges Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, ‘This opportunity is really great, but this will actually be my last performance because my heart is home.

“So I’m going home to my babies. They need me a little bit.’

Bryan labeled the decision a “mistake,” while Perry begged the mother to reconsider, to which Sara replied, “I don’t even know what show business is. I’ve been a mother since I was 18. I have been married since I was 18. I don’t think I realized how hard it would be to be away from my kids.

“They’re all still very young. There is a lot of guilt when you leave your kids to do something completely selfish. I feel like I’m not going to win the show anyway, so I might as well go home.”

Perry said, “You opened a door you never thought you’d open, and you got a yes.” You may get another yes in the future. Do not give up.

Sara said backstage, “I’m really humbled and grateful, and Katy had some really nice things to say. If my kids were a little older… I understand how likely this is, but I still kind of want to go home.”

Sara shared a TikTok video after her departure was confirmed revealing that she suffered a panic attack shortly after her first audition.

She wrote, “A lot of people don’t realize I was scouted to audition. They contacted me. And I am so grateful. I have never had so much support with singing. And it’s amazing and so humbling and made me realize how much I want to make music.

‘Half a year ago I didn’t know that yet. But I can also make hard choices that are best for me.’

This comes after Sara spoke out about the incident with Perry sparking a mass outcry.

“I don’t have too much to say about it because it’s probably pretty obvious.”

Gratitude is the ONLY word that comes to mind. I can’t wait to keep supporting my new friends and keep making music. 🤍 that’s what it’s all about in the end. Oh and can we also talk about how good Katy looked in that shade of purple and how Lionel BEATED that orange jacket? 😩👌🏻😍

Nervous: During the audition, Liebe seemed incredibly nervous as she stood in front of Katy and fellow judges Lionel Richie, 73, and Luke Bryan, 46

She continued, “It was embarrassing to have that on TV. And it was hurtful and, you know, that’s that.

Sara Beth encouraged others to uplift women and spoke directly to other young mothers who reached out to support her.

“But I wanted to take this opportunity to say that I think women supporting and uplifting other women is so cool and mom shaming is super lame.

“And I think it’s hard enough being a mother and it’s hard enough being a woman. I wanted to take this opportunity to say that I see all the young moms and single moms in general who have commented on all the videos and posts… I see you and I hear you and I am thankful to you.

“Keep loving your babies. No one deserves to feel bad about that. I think if you’re a good mom and love your babies, that’s all that really matters and no other comments are necessary,” concluded Sara Beth.

According to her TikTok, Sara Beth welcomed her first child at the age of 18.

She largely keeps her three children away from social media and has not revealed any details about their age or gender.
