Katy Perry rocked a pink polka dot swimsuit this week when she was spotted filming American Idol on the beach in Hawaii.

The 38-year-old pop star, who recently wore a sequined crop top to Jimmy Kimmel Live, covered up in her blush-colored strapless one-piece that featured white polka dots and a matching skirt tied around her waist.

Perry lounged in the shade with fellow judges Luke Bryan, 46, and Lionel Richie, 73, who looked sharp in casual beachwear.

Katy accessorized her look with white starfish earrings, cat-eye sunglasses, and a pineapple drink.

The three judges were filming season 21 of American Idol at Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa in Oahu, where they will be joined by celebrity guest mentors Bebe Rexha and Jimmie Allen.

With her raven hair pulled back into a sleek bun, the Teenage Dream singer showed off her bare shoulders and cleavage in the strapless design.

Katy leaned back on a beach chair draped in a red and blue striped towel, and seemed to be enjoying her time in the shade.

The star kept her fair skin out of the sun as she and her fellow judges watched the contestants sing their way to stardom.

Perry, Bryan and Richie joined Minnie Mouse at one point, with the Disney icon pulling up a chair next to Lionel.

Ryan Seacrest, 48, was also in attendance, as the American Idol host walked down the beach in a tropical T-shirt and dark blue shorts.

This latest sighting of Perry comes after her fiancé Orlando Bloom, 46, admitted their relationship can be “really challenging” in a new candid interview with flaunt magazine.

While reflecting on their differences, the Pirates of the Caribbean star revealed that her ‘baby mommy and life partner’ gets ‘stressed out’ by the dangerous side of her job.

‘We definitely struggle with our emotions and creativity, [but] I think we both realize how blessed we are to have a unique connection the way we did at the time we did, and there’s definitely never a dull moment,” she said.

Bloom went on to tell the publication that maintaining a long-distance relationship with Perry is difficult due to their demanding work schedules and the fact that they inhabit “two very different entertainment groups.”

“We are in two very different groups,” he explained. “Her pool of hers is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands.”

He concluded: ‘Sometimes things are really, really, really challenging. I won’t lie.

The duo were first romantically linked in 2016 after meeting at the Golden Globes, then took a break from being together in March 2017.

“I had given so much, and it literally broke me in half. I had broken up with my boyfriend, who is now my future dad,” she told the SiriusXM CBC radio station in 2020.

Ultimately, the “I Kissed a Girl” singer credits gratitude for saving her life and her relationship with God, and less than a year later, she rekindled her relationship with Bloom.

After getting back together, the Chained To The Rhythm singer said Footwear News magazine that Bloom is “a huge anchor” in her life, adding, “For some reason, I attract people who are really real and they call me out when I’m crazy.”

They got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019, before welcoming daughter Daisy Dove on August 26, 2020.

Perry’s career shows no signs of slowing down as the fifth leg of his Las Vegas residency continues through August.

Her over-the-top show at Resorts World is called Play, and the hitmaker recently compared the whimsical show to eating mushrooms.

“You don’t have to take shrooms to feel like you’re on shrooms when you watch this show,” he said. Rolling Stone. ‘Believe me.’

The Dark Horse singer went on to declare that she is far from retirement, saying that she “has a couple of aces up her sleeve.”

“It’s not like I’m heading into retirement,” he said. Trust me honey, she still has a couple of aces up her sleeve.

Perry also described how achieving massive success in her twenties caused her priorities to change later in life.

‘Look, I worked so hard all my life. It all started going full speed when I was 23 years old. So between the ages of 23 and 35, I traveled the world. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to lay the foundation of my life and career and work so hard.

‘Most people aren’t working as hard as I did when I was twenty. They usually do it in their thirties. And so he turned me around. Now, I’m finding a really wonderful balance, for which I’m grateful.’
