Beyoncé celebrated her 42nd birthday on stage with a special surprise guest who took the stage to sing Happy Birthday to her: Diana Ross.

The superstar singer capped off the last of three Los Angeles Renaissance Tour stops in style in front of a star-studded crowd on Monday.

The crowd was quite stunned when diva Diana, 79, took the stage in a glamorous, shimmering black dress.

She helped the audience sing Happy Birthday just after 11 p.m. Monday night, hours after rumors surfaced that she would be making a surprise appearance.

As with the first two concerts in LA this weekend, the crowd was filled with celebrities, like Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, seemingly taking their romance public after a rumored month that they were dating.

The show started at exactly 9:04 PM – coinciding with her birthday on September 4 (9/4), with Ross taking the stage a few hours later and greeting the audience with “Hello LA!”

Ross came out to sing her song Love Hangover, before wishing Queen Bey a happy birthday, as Bey rushed over to give her a tearful hug.

“I’m here to celebrate Beyoncé’s birthday,” Ross said, as Bey said, “I love you” to Ross.

She led the audience in a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday, and after the song they hugged again, Ross heard asking, “Were you surprised?”

‘Thank you so much! You are great! This is the legendary Diana Ross!’ Beyonce said as the crowd cheered for both living legends.

After the performance of Flaws and All, she gave an impassioned birthday speech, thanking the fans, her family, and the original members of her group Destiny’s Child.

‘My soul is full. I’m so thankful, I’m trying not to cry. I am thankful that I am alive. I am thankful to be on the podium. I’m thankful that I can look out and see your faces,’ she began.

“I am grateful to be able to provide a safe place for you all. I’m thankful for music, for the ability to heal myself through music, which heals you all,” she added.

She then thanked her parents Tina and Matthew Knowles and her husband Jay-Z, even referring to her 2016 hit album Lemonade.
