The 39-year-old pop star and her glam squad have gone from Malibu to Nashville, Santa Barbara, Tuskagee and Leesburgh in search of the next great artist for the former Fox singing competition.
“Listens to Country Music Once,” Katy (born Katheryn Hudson) joked of her brown cowboy hat and gray cowboy boots.

Perry opted for a cleavage-boosting black and white polka dot slip dress to pose next to the towering cacti of her hometown of Santa Barbara.
The Coronation crooner – who has 429.7 million followers on social media – captioned her Instagram slideshow: ‘Last looks. Illuminated. Which one is/was your favorite? #idol.”
Katy and fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan bring the 22nd season of American Idol to the Idol Arena next Sunday for “Hollywood Week” on ABC.
Perry – who earned an eye-watering $25 million to judge Idol in 2017 – confirmed in the February 12 episode Jimmy Kimmel Live that this will likely be her last season of touring the world and releasing new music.
“I love Idol so much. I know. It connected me to the heart of America. But I feel like I need to go out there and feel the heartbeat at my own pace,” the Emmy-nominated producer revealed.
“It’s going to be a very, very exciting year, Jimmy, for all the pop star girls. Let’s just say I’m creating space for my new wingspan.’
