Katy Perry paid tribute to Miranda Kerr in a sweet post Monday as she continued to dispel the “ex-wife, new wife narrative.”

The singer previously opened up about their unusual relationship, noting that she has no ill feelings towards Miranda, who was previously married to Katy’s fiancé Orlando Bloom.

He doubled down on his comments with a sweet Instagram post on Tuesday when he called Miranda his “favorite aussie” and a “sister from another lord.”

During the ceremony, Katy had the honor of presenting Miranda with the Excellence in the Arts Award.

The California Gurls singer said during her speech: “Many of you may be confused as to why I am presenting Miranda with this award.”

“It doesn’t fit the ex-wife, new wife narrative. Many in the media would like to see us wrestle in the mud…but this is about love, and Miranda is love,” Katy said.

Katy is engaged to Miranda’s ex-husband, Orlando. The Australian model was previously married to Orlando from 2010 to 2013 and they share a 12-year-old son, Flynn.

Orlando began dating Katy in 2016 and they got engaged in 2019. Their daughter Daisy was born on August 26, 2020.

Miranda wowed in a glamorous white strapless gown that was ruched in the front and closed at the waist to emphasize her toned physique.
