Katy Perry has spoken out about balancing parenthood and her career, admitting she can no longer party after a gig now that she’s a mother.
The star, who shares daughter Daisy, three, with her fiancé Orlando Bloom, said it’s a shame to be hungover with your kids.’
During the final show of her debut Las Vegas residency last weekend, the singer explained, “I was crazy when I was 20, but now I have a toddler who wakes me up at 6:30 a.m. whether I’m hungover or not.
“It’s a shame to be hungover with your kids.” All I hear is, “Wake up mom, let’s watch Minions.”
‘Now I’m 39, if I have more than two drinks, the next day… bad times. The next day I reevaluate my whole life.’

Katy continued by pointing out her respect for artists like Pink, who regularly take their young children on the road.
The sun reports that she said, “I never did a tour or a show before I became a mom, and I want to say that I now have a new-found respect for all the moms who do that.”
‘They raise children, take them to kindergarten, do the sandwiches and parties. You guys are rock stars. I’m so glad I came to you.’
The doting mom dedicated a song to her daughter, who was in the audience with her dad for Katy’s final show in Vegas.
“My next song is Daisy, this is your favorite song,” Katy told her daughter. “We play it through kindergarten. I love you so much. You’re my best friend and I’m so glad you’re here.”
As she performed to an excited audience, her fiancé danced with their delighted daughter in the audience.
The Gran Turismo actor bounced three-year-old Daisy as her mother sang Chained to the Rhythm in a video shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Her toddler, who was dressed in a Minnie Mouse costume, wore headphones to avoid being disturbed by the loud music during the rare public appearance.

At one point, she shared that her husband is “an incredible support system” and “an amazing father.”
Additionally, she reflected on how she “created this show after the birth of my daughter, Daisy Dove.”
“When I met her, it was like all the love I was ever looking for finally showed up. “She made me whole, she healed me, and she showed me how to play again,” she cheered. “So this show is for everyone’s inner child and for the hope that maybe if we could all see life through the eyes of a child, we might be free.”
Katy, 39, has been performing since December 29, 2021 during her residency at the Theater at Resorts World.
