The California-born entertainer stopped by the late night talk show promotes season 22 of American Idol, which premieres Sunday on ABC.
During the chat, Jimmy, 56, asked how long she plans to continue her role as one of three judges, alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
“You know, actually this fall in September I’m going to do this huge music festival in Brazil called Rockin’ Rio. It’s really exciting,” Katy began her answer.
‘It’s a big problem. It’s a big deal for people all over the world, especially my Brazilian fans. I think this will probably be my last show, my last season for Idol. I mean, I love Idol so much,” she added.
“It connected me to, like, the heart of America, but I feel like I have to go outside to feel that heartbeat,” Katy explained.
