Katy Perry left little to the imagination in a snakeskin-print co-ord with a high-waisted thong as she celebrated the release of her highly anticipated album 143 with a party in West Hollywood on Friday.
The 39-year-old California Girls singer made a bold fashion statement after shedding light on the disappointing reception of her debut single, Women’s World.
Katy took her inspiration from the 2000s and showed off her toned abs in a mini skirt, which she wore over her underwear.
The American singer went braless and paired her skirt with a matching crop top that featured a slit around the chest.
To complete the snakeskin look, she wore matching gloves, which fell to the top of her arms and had gold buckles on the sides.

The California Girls singer made a very bold fashion statement to celebrate the upcoming release of her new album, 143.
The star looked in her element as she performed at the party
She looked even more polished when she slipped on black, knee-high boots with snakeskin heels.
She kept her accessories to a minimum, completing her look with trendy black sunglasses and a black handbag.
Carmen Electra also turned heads when she arrived at the party in a silk, bright red satin dress over a full-coverage fishnet suit.
She completed her look with a dramatic high ponytail and a pair of shiny silver heels.
Katy Perry’s seventh studio album will be released on September 20.
The tracklist for the new release has not yet been officially announced, but via Instagram Live, hints have already been dropped at songs such as Gimme Gimme (ft. 21 Savage), Nirvana and I’m His, He’s Mine.
Normally, 143 is the code for “I love you.” It represents the number of letters in each word: one for “I,” four for “love,” and three for “you.” It was used on pagers in the early 90s.
The album will also feature some of her previously released singles: Woman’s World and Lifetimes.

Both songs flopped in the charts and the singer reportedly pointed ‘at everyone but herself’, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed.
“Katy is panicking at the moment because she is very aware of the feedback Woman’s World is getting,” a source told DailyMail.com.
And she adds: ‘She points at everyone but herself, but that’s her own fault.’
Katy received mixed reactions after she released the patriotic-themed video for Woman’s World, which featured mostly female characters as ’empowering’ characters.
“We’re just having fun, being a little sarcastic with it,” she defended the visual in a behind-the-scenes clip. “It’s very slapstick and very straight to the point.
“This set, it’s like, ‘Oooh, we’re not about the male gaze, but we are about the male gaze.’ And we’re really overdoing it and being too direct about it,” Perry explains.
She also received criticism for the sexualization of the video and for her collaboration with music producer Dr. Luke following his legal battle with Kesha, who had accused him of sexual, physical and emotional abuse.
Woman’s World was heralded as a powerful feminist song, but was dismissed as hypocritical and unoriginal.
Kesha even responded to Katy’s attempt at a feminist anthem via social media, writing “lol” on her X account.
Katy also received a lot of criticism after her latest music video for Lifetime was filmed on protected sand dunes in the Balearic Islands.

The government of the Spanish archipelago has now launched an investigation after production took place without permission.
“The local video production company assured us that all necessary permits for the video had been obtained,” a spokesperson for Katy’s record label, Capitol Records, told Variety.
‘We have since learned that one permit was pending, although we had received verbal permission to proceed.’
They added: ‘We have adhered to all regulations governing filming in this area and have the utmost respect for this location and the officials charged with protecting it.’
