She abandoned royal spectators after wandering through Westminster Abbey like a stray lamb.

And when Katy Perry finally found her place at the Royal Church on Saturday, she was inundated with selfie requests from other guests.

The singer, 38, who is making up performing at King Charles’ coronation concert at Windsor Castle, joined hundreds of guests at the historic event.

She looked sensational in a lilac Vivienne Westwood outfit and smiled for a series of snaps as she waited for the ceremony to begin.

Katy seemed very cheerful as she held out her arm and made sure to get everyone in view as she grinned alongside the group.

The American star was caught by eagle-eyed fans on social media searching far and wide for her seat when she arrived at the ceremony.

Unable to see thanks to an imposing wizard, her head can be seen tilted and spinning in circles in a desperate search for her place.

Royal fans took to social media to react to her hilarious moment in the historic abbey and the sheer size of her fascinator.

katy paid tribute to Vivienne Westwood in a lilac outfit by the late designer as she arrived at King Charles’ coronation with 51-year-old Edward Enninful.

The pop star turned heads in her vintage-style lavender ensemble, while the editor of British Vogue opted for a sleek suit to see Charles crowned.

Katy showed off her slim body in a sheath dress teamed with a matching short-sleeved coat with a nipped-in waist and matching opera gloves.

She sported a huge saucer-style net purse, while wearing a Vivienne Westwood necklace and carrying her belongings in a white designer top-handle bag.

Fans took to social media to express their approval of her stunning Coronation look, while others poked fun at the size of Katy’s headgear.

One person tweeted, “Kathy Perry killing sends me through most of the royals,” another wrote, while another added, “Katy Perry wears a Westwood ball choker because she always gets the job done.” #Coronation.’

Other celebrities seen taking their places in the church included Lionel Richie, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Fry, Nick Cave and magician Dynamo, while Dame Emma Thompson gave an excited thumbs up.

VIP guests lined up a mile from 6 a.m. to get one of the top 2,300 seats. The abbey was full just before 9am.

About 100 heads of state are in London, with representatives from 203 countries.

They will see Charles being crowned in a Christian ceremony that stretches back 1,000 years on a day dripping with glorious pageantry.

It will also highlight Britain’s place on the world stage in the UK’s largest ceremonial military operation since Sir Winston Churchill’s state funeral in 1965 with 7,000 servicemen marching alongside the King and Queen.

A rich royal blue tapestry – chosen to emphasize the king’s and queen’s regal red, gold and purple robes – graced the stage in the coronation theatre.

Stunning flowers in red, burgundy and yellow gold covered the top of the ornate gold high altar.

A smiling Dean of Westminster in his vivid red priestly robes was seen hastily carrying the holy oil for anointing past the abbey from the altar through the quire, holding the precious ornate silver vessel in both hands.

At today’s coronation, 7,000 servicemen and women will accompany Their Majesties, making it the country’s largest ceremonial event since 1953.

Indeed, the coronation procession back from the Abbey after the ceremony is so large that when the King and Queen arrive at Buckingham Palace, the rearguard will have only reached Downing Street, a mile away.
