Katy Perry warmed to her fiancé’s ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, on Saturday at the 20th Annual G’Day USA Arts Gala in Los Angeles.
The 38-year-old Queen of Pop had the honor of presenting Kerr with the Excellence in the Arts Award.
The California Gurls singer said during her speech: “Many of you may be confused as to why I am presenting Miranda with this award.”

She continued: ‘I’m so thankful for our modern blended family. It’s like I’ve gained another sister, one I’m usually in the main family chat sidebar with and agree with.
Perry is engaged to Miranda’s ex-husband, Orlando Bloom. The Australian model was previously married to Orlando from 2010 to 2013.
Bloom began dating Perry in 2016 and they became engaged in 2019. Their daughter Daisy was born on August 26, 2020.

The supermodel was previously married to Hollywood actor Orlando. The couple (pictured in February 2013) welcomed their son Flynn in 2011.
Kerr previously spoke on The Drew Barrymore Show in November 2020 about how he formed a strong bond with Perry during family events with their 11-year-old son Flynn.
“We really always think about what’s best for Flynn, and I think that’s the most important thing,” he said.
Miranda shares Miles, 3, and Hart, 4, with her husband, billionaire Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel. She also shares her 12-year-old son Flynn with her ex-husband Orlando Bloom.
The Victoria’s Secret angel and Evan first met at a Louis Vuitton event in 2014 and got engaged the following year before tying the knot in May 2017.
