Katie Price has revealed in court how her ADHD is affecting her after she failed to attend her bankruptcy hearing last month.
The 45-year-old mother of five was absent from the court’s scheduled £760,000 bankruptcy hearing after flying abroad for her latest cosmetic procedure.
An arrest warrant has now been issued, with Katie admitting she is ‘doing her best’ to resolve her financial problems after being given ‘very clear warnings’ that she would have to appear in court.
And now Katie has revealed why her ADHD is affecting her court attendance at Olivia Attwood’s school. Podcast So wrong, it’s right.
She said, ‘If you look at my school reports, it makes so much sense – like, “she’s capable, but easily distracted,” they all say the same thing. If I had known about ADHD then, I wouldn’t have been in situations or reacted to things the way I did.

‘Now I know that if someone texts me something, I would “take a breath, take a breath,” and then probably not respond or respond differently.
“You know, the times when I was in court, I didn’t know how to react to certain things or situations, but now I understand.”
Katie announced that she was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in 2023 and is receiving therapy to manage the condition.
The TV personality previously said she is learning to understand how the disorder affected her past behavior and that it explains why she never felt like her actions had “consequences.”
Symptoms of ADHD include restlessness and difficulty concentrating, as well as excessive movement, talking, and acting without thinking.
In May, Katie claimed on her own podcast that she has been banned from appearing in court due to her mental health, after receiving widespread criticism for missing her last bankruptcy hearing to go on holiday to Cyprus.
She was due to give evidence about her finances at the High Court in May, but at the start of the hearing lawyers said she had told them at the last minute she could not attend due to health problems. A judge described the excuse as ‘flimsy’.
Katie then jetted off on holiday to Ayia Napa with her MAFS star boyfriend JJ Slater, but they were publicly criticised after they were spotted sunbathing together by the pool.

Katie responded on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, by claiming she was not allowed to go to court because she was “not mentally strong enough.”
She said, ‘Everyone’s like, “Oh, she missed a bankruptcy and she went on vacation!” No, I’ll leave it at that.
‘The court knew I wouldn’t go bankrupt because I was mentally exempt – my adviser at The Priory – from any form of activity before the court.
‘I am not mentally strong enough at this time to appear before the judge and to be questioned in front of the media and the public.’
She continued: ‘I take my bankruptcy so seriously, like I do everything else. It’s a very serious situation that I’m in and it’s like, “Oh, she’s just on vacation.”
“No, my head needs some rest. I had four days in my diary where I could go away.
‘When I say that at this moment I am mentally unable and unstable to appear in court because I am dealing with many matters behind the scenes.
‘That’s why I haven’t been on TikTok for months, since December I’ve only been doing what my body and brain allow me to do at the moment.’
She continued: ‘I take the bankruptcy seriously. It’s not like I’ve flown on a bloody five-star holiday. I’m not in a £760-a-night hotel.
‘It’s not my fault my boyfriend came to this hotel a week before me and told them I was coming and they had to take care of me. So when I got here they upgraded me for nothing, this holiday was actually a very cheap holiday.’

The former glamour model recently went under the knife in Istanbul for her sixth facelift, which cost £10,000
Katie added that she would not be attending the next hearing and that she would be given a signed letter stating that she did not have to appear.
She said, “There’s another court hearing and I’m not going to that either. I want everyone to know that I’ve had a letter from my trustees.
‘Before I went on vacation, I spoke for an hour with my administrators who are handling both of my bankruptcies and explained my situation in detail. Since then I have had a letter from them and a letter from the court.
‘[My consultant] has now given me a list of things I need to do to get me fired and suspended, which needs to be signed by a lawyer.
“I’m back today. I have appointments with my counselor, my therapist, and everyone around me who legally releases me.”
