Katie Price has revealed her experiences with Russell Brand as the comedian faces a wave of sexual abuse allegations.
Over the past two weeks, Brand has faced serious allegations from a series of women. He was accused of one count of rape and assault when four women made allegations against the Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches programme, and then a raft of claims emerged as women told their stories to newspapers and the BBC. So far, at least ten people have filed public claims.
The comedian, 48, has strongly denied wrongdoing and says he has evidence to refute the allegations. He calls the claims a conspiracy by the ‘mainstream media’.
Speak with G2 magazine about her own encounter with the star, Price, 45, revealed that she met Brand “a few times” and that her bodyguard went to work for Brand.
Although she thought Brand was “quite a nice guy, actually quite funny,” she recalled an incident of his that she did not approve of.

Price revealed that she and the comedian spent time together in the 1990s, when she was with Peter Andre and Brand was with a friend.
She recalled, “We got stuck with him at LAX airport once. He had his girlfriend with him and I was with Pete. He tried to take my stylist while his girlfriend was standing by, so to me that says a lot.
‘The truth always comes out eventually.’
While Price may not have approved of his antics at the time, she asked Brand for relationship advice when they reunited on Loose Women in 2017.
Brand joined the daytime panel show to talk about his own experiences with addiction and his pre-fatherhood lifestyle, while dishing on his book, Recovery.
Price then asked him for advice about her husband Kieran Hayler’s alleged sex addiction – something she has struggled with since marrying him four years earlier.
She told the comedian: ‘I told Kieran: you have to go away for two months. And he said, “I’m not going, because I’m not leaving you.” What should I say to that?’
“He needs to surrender and accept help,” advised Brand – who publicly battled sex addiction and alcohol and drug abuse. “You need to tell him that he no longer has the right to control the situation after what he did to you.” Tell him “you need to change your life”.
‘You have to be constantly attuned to it, because a habit is a tendency. When he’s not working on his recovery, he’s working on his addiction.
“He needs to admit that you are the other part and as a society we need to stop supporting it. If it hurts you, let yourself go.”
Brand emphasized, “Make it clear to him!” to which Price replied, “I’m going to do it.” Take care Kieran!’
While it is unknown whether Price took all of Brand’s advice to heart, her relationship with Hayler did not work out and the couple split the following year.

Price’s comments come as a second police force has begun investigating claims about Brand.
After Scotland Yard launched a criminal investigation, Thames Valley Police yesterday confirmed it was investigating “information relating to allegations of harassment and stalking” made by a woman.
In the latest allegation, the Mail has seen police logs claiming the woman accused him of being a ‘sexual predator’.
She lived near Brand and befriended him in 2015 before they accused each other of harassment.
The police reportedly previously investigated and rejected her claims. Now officers are re-investigating the case.
On Saturday, Thames Valley Police said the woman had contacted her last week “with new information in relation to the harassment and stalking allegations.”
It added: ‘This information is under investigation and as such it would be inappropriate to comment on an ongoing investigation.’
Thames Valley Police covers Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, where Brand – now a self-styled lifestyle and political guru – lives with his family.
He moved to the area in 2015 and bought The Crown pub in the nearby village of Pishill in 2020.
The pub went into ‘lockdown’ when the allegations emerged, with locals reporting the venue was closed off by fencing and there were security guards both inside and outside.
Fire was forced to remove fencing when South Oxfordshire District Council said it was ‘unauthorised’ and launched a planning investigation.
